This book is in black and white. I am fine with that. The pictures of the projects are in the middle of the book and in color. The patterns are great! The instructions seem really easy. They appear to hold your proverbial hand through each project. This book has both dremel and manual wood cutting instructions for some projects. The take away is that this is a must have book for beginners, like me and advanced wood carvers. I purchased this book used through Fígaro Imports and the book is in immaculate condition. Good basic book.

My daughter used this book, with her Drendel power tool to finish a carving she made for her mother. She is giving it to her for Christmas,. She (13 year old) said it was easy to understand and gave more in-depth directions than the book that came with her Drendel tool.
