I was skeptical when first buying this, but to my surprise it can handle my weight easily (181 lbs). It doesn't feel like it's going to give when I sit on it, and when opening/closing it, it responds impressively smooth. It almost feels like a machine is closing it (it's not, it's just well engineered in this specific respect). My only complaints: 1. Not high enough. I'm 5'11" and sitting on it causes my knees to very slightly bend beyond 90. It's not a big deal, since I can stretch out my legs a little and it fixes this. 2. Zero padding. The textured surface tries its best, but it's still hard plastic. Uncomfortable for the butt unless you're dummy thick. So to solve this, I cut a small patch of memory foam and made a draw string padding cover for it. Just slip it over, and sit. Fixes the problem, and it becomes the perfect temporary seat. I like how you can adjust the height a little (good for putting your feet up, or holding a plate of food). It being plastic, I'd be careful tossing it around. I suspect it can handle more abuse than not, but I wouldn't test it. Overall: I am very well and happy with this purchase. If someone is looking for a portable seat device to buy, I'll suggest this one specifically (and mention how they should get a cushion as well). Great purchase and small enough to fit in a portfolio case I own for easy carry. Thanks.

I like it's compact and easy to use. It's a bit hard and uncomfortable to use for any length of time. I bought a cushion for the top, which took care of the issue.

I LIKe that the stool has a phone charger in the seat, and it goes anywhere with me for my husband. Easy to open and close.

My husband is a wrestling coach. At tournaments he has to stand for long periods of time so we got him this for Christmas. His first weekend using this, the piece that keeps it closed when collapsed, broke. It's a great chair other than that. This problem makes it hard for him to just clip it on his backpack, so now it's worthless to him.

Love this telescoping stool! It is easy to open and close. I have used it outdoors and indoors. It is great to use when you are working on something low and it is uncomfortable to stay bent over. It is also great for having a quick seat in places where there normally are none - lake, parks, abandoned haunted houses (seriously!)... Well worth the price and having a charger is just an added bonus.

I saw 1 of these when we were at the gun range & thought would b great 4 my hubby to put in his shooting bag! He was HAPPY AS HECK with it! Didn't even know he wanted 1 when I ordered it! He turned around & got me one as well! Only complaint is this 1 doesn't have a seat pad!

My husband loves this gadget! And he’s a consummate gadget man. He’s also a master guitar player and takes his guitar wherever we go. He wanted something without arms, easy to use, and portable to take on our outdoor adventures. He puts a stool pad on it and voila, he’s good to go.
