At this price it's a fantastic value. Crisp, clear display, no-fuss functionality and even included cables (both USB C with power/video and a mini-to-regular HDMI cable, something most folks won't have handy) AND a separate USB C AC power adapter (though the cable is extremely short, so you better be near an outlet if you don't plan to power it from another device). Speakers are - ahem - suboptimal for say, movie night with the fam, but surprisingly good for the form factor -- and the included 3.5mm aux is a HUGE deal for me and one of the reasons I picked this particular model. If you're looking at a dozen listings and seeing that they all appear to be the same unit, but with different labels and wildly varying prices, yeah, you're mostly right, but there ARE differences even where they sometimes look to be 1:1, feature by feature. For example, this one markets itself with the smart cover stand, which also means -- no VESA mounting capability. A few of these units feature VESA threaded holes to mount on monitor stands or even wall mounts, so consider that too. I'll use the included stand because I plan to travel with it a lot, but a $5 plate stand or picture stand will work perfectly on a desktop if you want to ditch the cover. CABLES: Not a trivial thing - and it's fantastic that this device comes with all the cables you'll need. But... In theory, USB-C is the PERFECT cable for this kind of thing -- it can carry audio, video, data and power through the same simple cable connection. Even a iPad (assuming it's fully charged or plugged in) can send video to the monitor AND power, so you can work without an outlet and still use both screens, though obviously your charged device will drain faster. HOWEVER!!!!! Not all usb-c cables are fully featured and even at the higher end, it can get confusing. USUALLY, but not always, "SS" or super speed cables will do the trick, but I've encountered SS cables that won't charge, or won't charge AND send video -- and there's no easy way to be certain without tinkering. PRO TIP SO YOU DON'T GO INSANE: The device arrives with HDR set to "OFF" - which is fine for most use cases, but if you first connect an HDR device - lots of laptops, iPad Pros etc, then the initial image will look absolutely crushed into fog. I spent two minutes trying to boost bright/contrast/black levels etc, before backing out and hunting down more settings and sure enough, HDR was off on the monitor and ON on my device. I switched to Auto and won't need to touch it ever again, so I'm kinda surprised it defaults to off, but I suppose some older devices might trip up on that too. This is NOT a problem with the monitor, but it won't be as reflexive for some users as it was for me, since I work with a lot of HDR content at work. So far I've tried it with: iPad Pro (M1 12.9") Xbox One X (HDMI) PS5 (HDMI) Galaxy Tab S8 (props to Samsung for Dex which is IDEAL for this stuff) Thinkpad X1 (current Gen, via USB C direct) It works perfectly (auto HDR!) on each and while it's obviously not a high end gaming or art monitor, it never feels compromised and it looks pretty decent even when sitting next to Retina or AMOLED displays. That's a pretty big tell for LCD monitors and this one does great for the price. There are a few cons: The reflective silver bezel surround, though very thin and elegant, is a bit distracting when hit by bright sunlight. The "smart cover" is fairly flimsy, the magnets not terribly strong, but it certainly does the job. Embarrassingly, I had to read the manual to figure out that it doesn't all fold to the rear like an iPad or Galaxy cover. Yes. I'm not a tech person at all. I bought this because I sometimes work away from home, so I wanted to be able to have a second screen to take with me. It is super portable, very light, and the cover it comes with seems like it's sufficient for protecting it in a backpack under normal, non-violent transport. All in all, it does a fine job. I gave it 4 stars because it sometimes does this weird "blip" where a line runs down the screen, and because I have to adjust the brightness every time I turn it on. I wish there was a way for it to save its settings so I didn't always have to fidget with it. For the price, it's a decent monitor, but that line blip does drive me a bit crazy. I'll also say that because I use a Mac, I also use an adaptor for all the ports I need. The cables that came with this DO NOT communicate with that external port. Because of this, I have to dedicate one of my Mac ports to the connection cable so there's a direct link between screen to machine. This might be a big consideration if you have a machine that doesn't have 2 ports (I could also be doing something wrong on my end, but all my other hardware works fine with the external port including my bluetooth for keyboard / mouse and charging cables, sooooo.....) ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Purchased since I wanted to have a larger second display for my Lenovo Yoga. I use my laptop regularly for business/education, and having a second screen increases productivity. Liked my 13” screen but found I needed larger windows for some web applications/work applications. First off, well packaged. I really appreciated the custom cutouts for the display and all accessories. That being said, I was not expecting a miniDP cable. This will be helpful for my older MacBook Air that my son uses to zoom and sometimes needs a little extra screen real estate for OneNote and Zoom. The cables are very basic, good quality, but the connections for HDMI are not gold plated or 4K capable, but since the display is not 4K, it doesn't really matter. Power source is very basic, but any 5V 2A adapter will work just fine. I even sometimes just use my laptop power source to power the screen and pass through charge with USB-C. Picture quality is decent enough for what I need to use it for. Brightness is appropriate and all pixels working, no bright spots or lines. As for sound quality, I’d like to say it’s decent, but could definitely be a little higher quality. The upside is I use it mostly for a second screen and my laptop provides the audio. When I attach my raspberry pi 3 retro gaming computer, the sound quality is nothing to get excited about. The actual dimensions are decent. I wouldn’t mind it being a bit thinner, especially for only providing HD and not 4K. The magnetic cover is nice and provides appropriate protection when storing or carrying in a bag. I do prefer to use a tablet stand for a more custom viewing angle and more support. The magnetic cover really only provides 1 or 2 angles and is only ideal when sitting on a stable surface. I’d say overall 4 stars, would give it 5 if a bit thinner/lighter weight and if sound quality was a bit better, but still a great option for increasing productivity and perfect setup for me. ... show more
