The QQH Portable Monitor is a 15.6" computer monitor designed for versatility and portability. With a solid look and feel, it's a device that promises to deliver when you need an extra screen. It works great with my kids' Nintendo Switch and with the Raspberry Pi when I need to get at a console when the network fails. However, I bought it primarily for laptop and those results were mixed. On the positive side, the monitor has proved quite useful in multiple scenarios. However, the lack of a real stand leaves much to be desired in terms of stability. Moreover, the USB-C connectivity has been hit or miss. While it worked perfectly with my Mac, I had to resort to using the HDMI connection on my Linux-based laptop, which involves managing an extra cord. It *usually* works with Samsung Dex, but a couple of times it just would not stay connected. May have been a bad cable but it was frustrating.... The screen brightness is another area where it could use some improvement. Using it in the car on sunny days was a bit challenging due to the lower brightness. The laptop screen was WAY brighter and if I moved a window to it, it felt like it just disappeared. The weight of the monitor was also a bit surprising given that there's no built-in battery. It feels and looks like a giant tablet with no touch screen. Additionally, it would have been nice if it included VESA mount compatibility for more flexibility in setup. To wrap it up, the QQH Portable Monitor is a decent portable monitor with its share of pros and cons. Despite some room for improvement, it has found its place in our tech ecosystem. It doesn't really do anything great, but the low cost and flexibility out weight my minor annoyances. Thanks for reading, hope this helps you make a more informed decision! UPDATE: The seller support was good, I had reached out about the brightness issue, and they were able to guide me through getting the brightness sorted out. If you are in Scene (ECO) mode or have HDR enabled, the brightness and other picture controls are LOCKED. I had to change those setting before I could manually override the brightness. It is still dimmer than the laptop, but it is manageable.

My Dell laptop screen, perhaps seven years old, was giving me a dark bar down the right side, and then on start-up it would take forever, long black screen, and a lot of "playing around" with the physical screen (wiggling it and such) to get the picture to finally show up each morning. This Dell laptop has a one terabyte hard drive, over half filled, and start up times were taking forever; I wasn't sure if the two were related or not, so I stopped filling the hard drive last summer. The problem didn't improve. It would take a half an hour to get the screen to finally cooperate with what I thought was a long problematic start-up as compared to a screen/hardware issue. And that perhaps the problem somehow tied into the fact that this was a touchscreen (because slightly bending it would make the screen finally work), which I never used. Also had BUBBLES on occasion; a problem you can find others have, and worse, when the bubbles show up the cursor bounces around and *executes functions randomly and quickly* such that it can mess up your browser in seconds and/or ANYTHING you're working on. And that too seemed to possibly be related to the touch screen, which again, I never used. I had enough. Bought this product on the chance that it had little to do with the actual problem, but was worth a try. ...AND IT WORKED. Fixed the whole problem. Proving that the Dell screen is broke. It was very plug-and-play; I connected the HDMI connector from that laptop to this product, and it recognized it immediately and showed me my desktop immediately. Picture is almost as good (perhaps exactly as good) BUT...the sound with this screen is bare minimum quality AND it defaults to this screen's sound (my Dell laptop's sound is much better). HOW I FIXED THAT: Settings>Sound>Output Device (Drop-down menu)>(Chose the only other option, which was my Dell laptop's audio). That brought the sound back to my Dell laptop and I am happy. It's much louder and better quality than this device. But this device has a great picture, IS a little bright as others have said, but is fine (and is adjustable). What would've surely been over $100 in repairs, I fixed via using this screen, so I'm basically happy. Computer now boots up in the normal time it always did, that I just couldn't see due to the broken Dell screen. Funny how it was actually booting up at a normal speed the whole time, I just couldn't see it, lol. P.S. For anyone else having any kind of similar problem, I no longer use "hibernate" from day to day; I shut down completely. My start up time remains far faster from full shut down than it ever did from hibernate mode. Might wanna try doing that if you're having any start up time issues and/or screen issues. Great product, decent price, solved my problem, cheers.

This monitor is wonderful. Was pleased it could be powered through my existing laptop port instead of having yet another cord to plug into the wall (But you can power it that way too if you want.) Has all the cords you need to use it any other way. Didn't even know they make a Mini HDMI port (as is on the QQH body) but the supplied cord was perfect between the mini and the regular HDMI port on the laptop. Very pleased with the purchase, and a great value. Only negative it that it takes up desk space. If you buy one that hangs from your existing laptop your desk space is free, but for the significant price difference I opted for this screen. Never used it for gaming so did not rate that.

This monitor is easy to use, and very well designed. The built in stand is much easier and more effective than on other's I have used. The size is good too. Any larger and it would not be portable, but it is large enough that you have enough room to work. If your laptop only has a 13" screen then this will be easier to see. This monitor doesn't have gamer specs, because it is a productivity monitor. It is good for travel, and it is good for those with lmiitied space. One friend of mine set this up for his second monitor in a tigh location where a "normal" monitor realy wouldn't fit. So... it is good to consider if you want a second monitor in an area with limited desk space.
