  • Surprisingly versatile monitor- *Update after replacement*
The media could not be loaded. *Replacement update* I had an issue with the monitor after a few months of every day use and contacted support@upperizon. They had me show them the issue with it and then they shipped me a new one. It was a very quick process and got to me within a week shipped all the way to Hawaii. The new monitor has smaller bezels so it looks nicer, and the panel has even more contrast than any IPS display I have ever seen. It has a 2 year warranty, but I wasn't expecting it to be that easy to get a replacement. *Original review* I’ve had some time to use and play around with this monitor and I really like it. I think would work well for a lot of people, especially for the price, so I’ll share my experience with it. I get quite detailed because some of the capabilities might not be apparent unless I explain. I’ve had a few of these portable monitors over the years, starting with a 1080p monitor that only had one USB C port. This one is full 4K at 60Hz and can be driven by either USB C or by a mini-HDMI input. There are 3 cables that come with the monitor- one being an HDMI to mini-HDMI, a USB C video cable, and a USB C power only cable. If you are going to be using a computer that only supports video out over HDMI, then you would use the HDMI to mini-HDMI cable to connect to the monitor, and additionally use the included power adapter that comes with the monitor to power it using the USB C power only cable. HDMI doesn’t provide power- just a video signal, so additional current is needed to run the monitor. If you have a computer/laptop that is capable of providing video out of its’ USB C port, then you can use the USB C video cable only and not have to use the additional power adapter. This is extremely convenient if you are using this with a laptop while traveling- one cable is all you need. Even though you can get by fine with just the one cable for video when using USB C for video, in my testing I found the monitor was unusually versatile with how it handled having extra power additionally supplied. If I connected my laptop to the monitor with the USB C video cable it would start with monitor brightness showing 100% and was easily as bright as I would want it to be while working indoors. One of my pictures shows how bright it is with just one cable from the laptop. However, if I additionally connected the power to the second USB C port on the monitor (there are 2- and either one will work for video or supplying additional power) the monitor would get even brighter. In fact, while using it indoors I would only have the brightness set at around 60 out of 100 if additional power was being used. It could definitely get brighter than what I wanted. If used outdoors on a sunny day, it would likely be bright enough to easily view if using the additional power. Also, I found something I didn’t expect- the monitor is capable of passing through charging voltage to my laptop through USB C. One problem I have encountered before is my laptop charges over it’s one USB C port. It can only output video over that one USB C port also, so in the past I could either use the USB C port to output video or charge the laptop- not both. What I accidentally found out is if I used the USB C video cable from my laptop to the monitor for video, then plugged a PD capable charger into the second USB C port on the monitor, not only did it provide the extra power to make the monitor brighter, but it passed through the power to charge the laptop at the same time. Now I can have both a bright monitor screen and keep the laptop charged at the same time just using the 1 USB C port on my laptop. I have a battery I carry with me that is capable of charging my laptop, so I can now use the laptop and second monitor for many hours away from a power outlet. Finally, I wanted to comment on the quality of the screen. I have very sensitive eyes to specific aspects of a screen’s output. One thing I have had issues with from other similar screens concerns the color of white, and how clear/clean it looks when you are looking at a white background on the screen. I have a very similar screen I am now replacing with this one that has a slight greenish cast, that no matter what I do I can’t get it to go away. I have another one that won’t get as bright as this one and ends up looking dirty compared to this monitor. This monitor has a completely neutral looking white and good contrast that makes the text look “clean”. Even if it wasn’t for the overall brightness and flexibility, this aspect alone would make it an excellent choice. Good color saturation, anti-glare screen, and wide color gamut round out the positives here. I know it is supposed to have a quick response time, but I’m not a gamer and don’t have any way to test that aspect. This monitor is light, comes with a protective case you can use as a stand, and has all the cables and a power adapter to give you maximum flexibility. Overall, I’m very impressed. *** Update *** I thought I would test it with my iPad and found out it will work with one cable, and if you plug in a PD capable charger in the second USB C port it will both make the screen brighter and pass through the power to charge the iPad at the same time! I wasn’t expecting it to pass through the charging power to the iPad so this will work great as a second monitor when running iPad OS 16 later. Also, the iPad identifies this as an HDR monitor and will output HDR to it. ... show more

  • Lightweight portable monitor with great resolution.
Style: 2.5K w/ Kickstand Non-touch
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I picked this item because of its size, the 2.5k resolution and the included padded case. It was a good deal for the price. I also prefer the separate case and the kick stand instead of folding case. Resolution: The resolution is great. The screen is just slightly larger than my laptop. And there are minimal controls thea5 are easy to figure out and remember. Thickness: The monitor is very thin and lightweight. I’m always looking to reduce the weight I carry in my backpack. And was only going to take this with me in certain situations, but even packed in its case with the cables, it adds negligible weight. ... show more

  • Amazing video quality in a fraction of the price
Style: 2.5K w/ Cover Non-touch
The monitor is excellent with the picture quality and the casting from iPhone is a breeze as it shown in full screen like it’s AirPlay which was great and I can keep the phone off and the video runs without stopping. Have tried other monitor but this one under the deal is best you can get.

  • Great product!
Style: 2.5K w/ Cover Non-touch
I ordered one of these a year ago and liked it so much I ordered a second unit. They look great and work every time. My laptop now has 3 screens when traveling and it all fits easily in the computer pocket of my carry bag.

  • Wonderful Portable Monitor for Home and on the Go!
Style: 2.5K w/ Kickstand Non-touch
The media could not be loaded. My job involves giving lots of presentations and toggling between multiple applications, so having an extra screen (or 2) is a must! When I go to the office I have to take whatever desk is open, so I can't rely on there being a monitor available for me to use. This monitor fits the bill for any situation away from home office. The box from Upperizon contains the slim 16" monitor inside a padded, zippered sleeve. The sleeve is fuzzy on the inside and provides a lot of protection. There is a zippered pocket on the front of the sleeve that is great for keeping whatever cables you need for the monitor. The sleeve is needed since the monitor does not have a smart case, but rather a kickstand to allow adjustment. I've had a monitor with a smart case and they are nice, but can be easy to knock over. The kickstand is very sturdy and adjustable, and has padded feet to keep the monitor from slipping. This monitor also comes with an adapter plug (USB-C port). There are 4 cables included: * 1 USB-A to USB-C (power only), * 1 HDMI-to-miniHDMI (video only) * 2 USB-C to USB-C (power and video). The USB-C to USB-C can be used as your single connection between the monitor and PC, if your device has a Thunderbolt port that provides power. Just check the USB-C ports for the one with the lightning bolt on it :) When you plug in the monitor to a device, your device's screen will probably flash a few times, then the monitor will power on as the device registers its presence. I use my laptop with extended display mode and it remembers this each time I plug the monitor in. I do have to move my windows over once the monitor powers on, but that is typical for any monitor. I haven't tried to use the monitor with any other portable device, but it should be compatible with most phones, game consoles, etc. However, you may need to purchase additional cables depending on what connectors your device uses. The monitor comes with an instruction sheet showing several different connection scenarios, and includes QR codes that will open a video demonstration with further details. Each instruction scenario tells you where you might need an additional cable, for example a DisplayPort for older laptops or a Lightning adapter for Apple devices. The 16" screen has a matte finish which helps reduce glare. I'm not a resolution purist so I won't babble about pixels and such. I can tell you the colors are bright and crisp, and video plays flawlessly. The monitor has several adjustments available on the toggle switch at the left hand side of the case. The power switch is just below the adjustment toggle. There is also an aux/headphone jack on the left side. On the right side of the monitor there are 2 USB-C ports and a mini HDMI port. The back of the monitor has a VESA connector if you want to mount the monitor to a VESA stand. The kickstand of the monitor does cover the ports when it's fully closed, but this is not a deal-breaker because I can't imagine a scenario where I would be using the monitor flat on a desk. The monitor does have a built-in speaker. As I mention in the video, it is not the loudest or best sound quality, but it will work if you don't have a speaker on your device or headphones at hand. I have a standard-sized SwissGear laptop backpack. This monitor (inside the protective case), fits snugly inside the back compartment of the backpack. A 2-year warranty is available for the monitor, and it's simple to activate this by contacting the company. They also included a card with some available accessories (such as a set of cables or right-angle cable connectors). Overall I'm very pleased with this Upperizon Portable Monitor and would recommend to anyone! ... show more

  • Monitor de buena calidad y fácil conexión
Style: 2.5K w/ Cover Non-touch
Es un buen producto, fácil de conectar, excepto que no todos los celulares Android soportan ella conexión al monitor, así que recomiendo verificar la compatibilidad con el celular que van a usar.

  • *Amazing customer service* Screen separating from body out of the box.
Style: 2.5K w/ Cover Non-touch
Great screen, but build quality is not great. The screen is separating from the body straight out of the box. They refunded the cost of the screen and sent me a link to get the correct glue to fix it myself. Outstanding customer service. I am still in shock. Thank you!
