I really like the monitor. It’s slim, has great picture quality, and it’s easy to use (plug and play with the included usb c cable). I do not like that it turns off every 2 or 3 minutes, it goes to a black screen and then after a few seconds it returns to your precious screen. It’s annoying when I’m typing or watching something and then it resets and you have to wait for the black screen to go away. I use it with my new MacBook Pro. I used other monitor with my laptop and it never turned off like this one does. Update: 9 Mar 2024. The monitor is amazing, after the initial issues, the company reached out to me and walked me through troubleshooting. After we identified that the monitor was defective, they sent me a new monitor. The replacement arrived super fast, I plugged it with just the USB C cable directly to my McBook Pro and it works amazing, it doesn’t turn off anymore, and I am extremely happy with how light it is, slim, and it works amazing. The monitor is easy to transport and the thin kickstand is hard to set up incorrectly for the landscape viewing though this monitor cannot accommodate a portrait mode without some external aid. The device is not a 2K (1440p) or even more pricey 4K monitor, but it is fine for most users. I do not see that much of a discernible difference is present other than for gaming or in long periods of close up work. For document creation, web work and even using such a situation as a remote meeting on-line there is no real need for any greater pixilation or fine detail. This monitor gets all the bang for the buck for which people might ask. Sound quality is again adequate for the need. A slipcase might have been a plus, but that is quibling. ... show more

Corrigendum: There was a problem with the item I received. Eventually I began to notice significant backlight bleed on the bottom-right corner. I tried to ignore it, as most monitors have a slight bleed, but this became significant over time. I don't know why it took me a day to notice, but once I did, it bothered me. I use a dark theme on my code editor and terminal, so it was hard to ignore. It also distorts colors in videos. The second problem, which I noticed while inspecting it because of the first, is that the bottom-right bezel (the thin plastic frame inside) did not sit flush with the frame. It was slightly elevated, with a visible gap between the plastic part and the metal shell. It could be pushed in, but did not stay for long; this could be because of an extra-large blob of glue inside, or because of a slight contour to the screen itself (which would explain the first problem). So I ordered a second one, with the intent of sending the original back. Upon unpacking, I saw that the packaging was different. The first one had a full plastic sheet that covered the screen with "double your effort" slogan printed on, the second one had a sticker affixed to the bezel with some specifications. No big deal, though I prefer that they ship these with the full sheet adhered to the screen for extra protection. Secondly, the first one came with a cheap microfiber cloth in the box, the second one with a 15 watt USB-A power supply. This irked me slightly that I would not have the power supply (which is definitely useful as I had to search for one, and didn't want to over-power the device) if I hadn't ordered the second item. Third: The first one has a nicer finish. It appears to be black anodized aluminum, or at least a thin coat of powder substrate, while the second feels like plastic. I don't think it actually is plastic, but it is rougher to the touch. I am worried that, because of the texture, it might scratch or chip more easily. Fourth: The foldable cover that comes with the monitor is different between the two. One seems to have a crease on the outside (where it folds) whereas the second has the crease on the inside. The bevel on the first is rounded so that the edge is soft when the case is closed, the second is opposite; when the case is closed the edges of the case are free to be bent, which may cause damage over time. Fifth: the OSD control is a little knob that rotates 45 degrees up or down, and can be pushed in as a selection function. The first screen (the one with the nicer smooth finish) has one that is slightly more stiff to press in and more recessed; the second is looser and slightly wobbly. I notice that I have to press it in more to get it to register, which I do not like. The cables are also different, but not significantly so. Since both of these screens have minor problems, and I don't want to order a third (though I am curious as to what I would receive), I have decided to do the following: Keep the USB-A power-supply from the second box. Keep the portable monitor from the second box (because of the backlight bleed, despite the lower quality surface texture and the funky OSD knob). Swap the folding covers between the two; I kept the first. I don't like that I see potential for the edges to delaminate on the second. Keep the cables from the first one because I already have used them. I put the cables from the second box into the first, put the second cover on the first display, re-packaged it, and will send it back tomorrow. If the company sees this review, and is annoyed about how particular I am: I don't know why other people don't have higher standards for you. Don't be changing so much between your manufacturing batches, and if you do, make it an entirely new SKU with a separate product page. Offer your old stock at a lower discounted price, but don't mix them, it is very annoying. Original review: This is truly a great little monitor. It's the right size for my laptop (in width) at 14 inches. I was immediately impressed by the box it came in. It felt sturdy, and had foam padding in the lid. The body is anodized aluminum and feels very sturdy. The screen looks more than decent, and has excellent viewing angles. Unfortunately there's a slight bleed in the bottom right corner, which is why I removed a star for "screen quality". Color reproduction is fairly good, though you'll want to adjust it because initial appearance is slightly warm. The OSD control is fantastic. The little joystick for navigating menus is really a pleasure to use, I wish it had more purposes aside from controlling display settings. 9/10, absolutely would recommend. i needed a monitor so i could have a second screen to run virtual presentations at work and it works fabulous. its lightweight, portable, i like the sleek stand on the back (it holds really well no matter what angle i stand the screen up at). i wasnt able to get it to connect with enough power with a single cord, but i read in the instructions that if one cord alone didnt work, i would need to use the other two cords together. that was true and it works great. i also have figured out how to adjust the volume and brightness on the monitor via google. overall, super happy with this buy, especially for the price. ... show more

I wanted to be more productive at home, at first I purchase one of those screens that clip to your laptop. I found it very frustrating and didn’t work all the time. I wanted something compact that I can use in remote areas away from my office as an additional screen. This surpassed all expectations, the built quality is excellent, easy to connect and set up. Now I have an additional screen and very happy with my purchase. I’ve also used it in my Nintendo game console and it works excellent. This was an excellent choice. I only wish it was touch screen but other than that it worked perfectly. I was able to use one of the two cords provided and it was easy as plug and play. I’ve already recommended this to 3 of my coworkers.
