It's just white plastic. Cheap as all get out, but it's cute and I have it sitting on my cubby shelf with an S my daughter made me. The battery life on it is amazing! I have it on - every day - for about 12 hours a day and the battery will last over 2 weeks. This holds up well for a kid's room. My son wanted an initial lamp like the one my daughter has from Justice, but without the pink and glitter. This is smallish but the look he wanted.
