I bought it too late for my project. But I wanted plants that were hardy and minimal deep root system. Most of the pictures showed plants dripping into the pool which I didn’t want. The pictures and descriptions were excellent except whether the plant root system was concerned.

I was a little disapointed when I first got this book as the photos weren't all eye-popping fancy layouts - BUT - - I have found the book surprisingly good to read!! I've been up late every night pouring over it's content. It's written very, very well and you will learn some great hints, regardless of budget. This book is a must have! It is beautifully illustrated and very informative. If you own a pool or are thinking about getting one this book is a great investment. I purchased this book because of the wonderful gardening ideas. At some time in my life I will own a pool to go with my garden.

    • Not so good
This is one of the not so good books for pools like many many others. I don't know may be it is too hard to write for pools. There are inside some pictures but nothing to catch the eye neither spectacular. THis book was suppouse to guide you how to create your own pool but I have see much better books! So if you are going to spend money to build a pool keep on searching for another book! ... show more
