I know almost nothing about sewing and I'm teaching myself as I go along, so take this review with that in mind. I ordered this so I could sew a quilt and learn the basics and this is perfect. It fits my Singer and it was easy to set up. There are so many of these for such a low cost that I'm not worried about the many, MANY mistakes I'm making as I learn. What's better is that they come in minimal packaging and fit easily in my sewing box. I like that I was able to order this knowing very little, and it was exactly what I needed to keep moving with my project.

This is an excellent set of threads on prewound bobbins. These have a lightweight polyester thread (60W, 75D/2) on size L bobbins. While light in weight, this thread worked well in my Brothers machine with no tension problems. From past experience I have found this weight is strong and durable. I find no difference in use between these 70/D threads and the tiny bit heavier 75/D threads - just as the product description says. The thread is a bit shiny. My machine takes a Size A bobbin, but it takes 2 minutes to rewind one of these on to a new bobbin, and at this price that is well worth the time. Bobbins come in unsided, clear plastic sides, and (these) in cardboard sides. The description says that these with cardboard sides have “more friction.” I do not find any difference in use between the different kinds of bobbins. I recommend these.

Do remember to get the right bobbin for your machine! These will save you time and you won't need to putz around with "oh, I need just a little...". Great thread, classic simple black color. Only deducting points because the thin thread still snaps sometimes, but it's unfair to expect kevlar levels of performance from simple thread. 9/10

I love how I can just grab one and keep going. I really appreciate not having to spend time threading a bobbin, these are ready to go and I don't have to stop my project to do this. They came in a nice box and were delivered pretty quickly. I was sewing and just needed a bit more to finish a hem and these were easy to grab and put on to keep going.
