Valve works good so far. Above ground pool did not include a shutoff valve where the two water intake hoses come out of the pool and join going in to the strainer basket of the filter. There was no way to clean the basket without water rushing out. This valve beats having to plug my two out going lines every time I want to check my filter. Just turn the off valve and done! Wish I had this in the beginning. FYI- When connecting this to the hose that goes into the pump I had a hard time getting it to go in but I put some dry lube on it and it worked it right in, it’s a very tight fit. Outlet is 1.5 inches. You need an adapter if you have 1.25 tubing. It is not advertised as so which caused me to wait an extra day for an adapter. Otherwise this is great and convenient for being able to close off the tubes when changing the filter.
