Nice feel, all customers using these cues were impressed. Tips are chalk resistant at first, but smoothed out after a few games. Very happy overall, straight, balanced, comfortable to shoot with.

These are better than expected, I am actually impressed with what you get for how little they're asking for them. But do not have unrealistic expectations - these are NOT high end cues by any means. The first stick is very straight, impressive actually. But the tip isn't quite on straight, the tip is a few degrees off. The second stick is mostly straight, but the shaft has a slight tweak about 5 inches away from the tip. And on this one, the tip is also on slightly crooked, a few degrees off. Still, though, both are better quality than the entry level sticks you'd find at the box store. The bottom half of the stick is glossy with a good coat of polyurethane. But the top half of the stick is more a matte finish. The tips are a bit rough, you'll need to smooth them off and powder them really well. They screw together smoothly, with very little seam. These have almost no other amenities to them. But frankly they have fewer flaws than I was expecting. We were looking for some inexpensive cues for the teens when they're goofing around with the billiard table, and these are perfect for that.

We got these for our own use after neighbors (kids?) destroyed the ones at the clubhouse. We use them only occasionally, so can't comment on how they compare to 'pro' sticks. Having played pool occasionally over many years, I can say that they feel really well made in terms of weight, texture, and straightness. I did not have the quality-control issues others seemed to have. And I personally like the transition from glossy to matte. The gloss on the base gives me better grip in my shooting hand, and the matte on the top slides better along my guiding hand. I also love (and got these specifically for) the fact that they detach. Makes it much easier to store and travel with! Mine connect seamlessly and feel solid and stable when connected. The one thing I would agree on is the tips. Having never purchased brand new cues, I'm not sure if they're normally flat and hard. The ones I've used have all had rounded edges and feel more padded. These tips do change the way the ball reacts to a hit, so I may see about getting different tips. Other than that, I absolutely love these!

These are the 58-in two-piece house style cues. They both weigh about 17 and 1/2 oz, and seem to have glue on tips. For the price you really can't beat them. Are they going to make you a better player? Most likely not. But you won't have to worry about them getting ruined either. When you hit the cue ball they do have a solid feel. They have some sort of coating on the shaft, to make it shiny, but it only runs up the shaft about 2/3 of the way. I'm not sure if that's the way it's supposed to be, it's just something I noticed.
