I received the 5 gallon Pondon aquarium today 11-1-2023. The tank appeared to be acrylic but I did a scratch test on it and there were absolutely no scratches on it when i finished. I used an abrasive sponge, SOS pad and paper towel to clean the residue off. The tank is glass. It is easy to assemble. The filter system looks great. I have a lot of confidence that it will work aweome. I will be replacing the blue filters the tank came with. I will be adding some black small bio balls with the ceramic ones they came with this way I will have extras left over. I am going to put some bio-balls in the bottom filter along with the black filter it came with. I am rather disappointed in the lighting in came with. It works but I was hoping I could make the colors like a solid blue to appear like dusk but you can't. Once I get the tank fully setup I will be writing another review.

The quality of the tank is great. For the most part easy to assemble, however, my betta does not like the oxygen & bubbles because it is too powerful. He looks incredibly panicked because the water moves too much. If you have other fish that don't mind water movement, then this tank is great for you!

No heater. Filter is attached to top of tank. No way to remove. Less than 5 inch opening to get tank decor in. Arrived with a cracked upper plastic rim. Instructions are minimal. Says 24/7 customer service but no contact info provided.

it’s a really pretty tank but the filter takes up half of the tank on top so it’s kind of hard to clean &’ decorate, it was easy set up but i wouldn’t recommend for bettas, small fish in general, the pressure of the filter was too strong for my betta &’ would push him around, i’d adjust it on the lowest pressure but it was still too strong for him, &’ sadly it got sucked up from the filter & died ):

I ordered this tank to temporarily use for a couple of goldfish that found themselves a home with me. They do eventually need much more space, but 5 gallons will work for awhile. I plan on putting a betta in the tank after I move the goldfish out. This tank has a great light. It really makes the color of the fish stand out. The lid has a temperature gauge built in. I have noticed when the light is on, the temp goes up about 5 degrees +/- . The filter has good power. There are two different sponges and quartz bio balls inside. I might try to figure out how to add some sort of carbon. It would be relatively easy to add your own filter media to this tank. The filter compartment is basically a box that runs along the top. I was able to run an air pump through the back without affecting how the lid sits. A heater could be run through as well, but I don’t need that for goldfish. There is a sponge you can put on the bottom of the filter near the gravel. I chose not to put that on. But if you are using this tank for very small fish, fry, or shrimp, you might want to use the sponge. I never recommend a tank smaller than 5 gallons for any fish. So this tank is perfect for a betta, a couple of small fish, a temp tank for larger fish, a fry tank or a med tank. Overall, I love how solid this tank is. The sides are somewhat reflective glass, which the goldfish seem very amused with.
