  • Such a fun camera. Just do your research.
Style: Camera + Film Color: Black
TL,DR: super fun camera, as someone who’s new to Polaroids. Just know what you’re buying and how to use it/be prepared to learn. Overall: 4.3/5 Stars, giving it 5 to try to balance out all the negative reviews. Here’s my general spiel: I bought this knowing that I have zero experience with Polaroids, photography, exposure, color, and all that fun stuff. I bought this mainly to mess around with the settings in the Manual mode in the app, rather than let it automatically set the settings. Also, I went into this willing to spend $2 a picture to learn how to work with aperture, shutter speed, lenses, etc. and it honestly didn’t take too long to learn some of the basics after reading through advice on reddit/google/etc. My first indoor pictures were extremely underexposed, and greenish. My first outdoor pictures were extremely overexposed. But this was because I was learning how to work with the camera! The camera itself is loads of fun, and get some quality pictures once you figure out what you’re doing lol. With the right settings and lighting, you can get really crisp and colorful images. I really only use manual mode in the app so I can learn how to fully control my camera, so I’m not super sure how good the auto settings are. BUT I’ll also say that the tripod mode is a lot of fun to use at night for some long exposures! The film shield is nice too so that you don’t need to worry about the picture getting directly exposed to light right after it prints and you have time to prepare your pocket or clear your table. You can see in my picture some of the photos that I took during my first few attempts. (I don’t want to post my better pictures because they all have my friends in them lol) I also included my first two night exposures. I’ll also note that the super yellow photos were taken with a faulty film pack (mentioned below) but they still resulted in some cool looking multi exposures. I only have two negatives! The only technical issue I experienced was that one of the provided film packs had some issues ejecting my photos, but otherwise, the other film pack, and any other that I’ve bought have worked just fine. I even got some fun weird photos out of the dysfunctional one due to multiple exposures (in the picture they’re the bright yellow ones). My only personal annoyance with the overall product: A little annoying that you need to use the app to do all adjustments, but I also can see the value of having a remote for the camera. It was also nice to have the long exposure timer with me instead of somewhere on the camera. One helpful piece of advice I saw online: if you’re taking pictures when it’s cold (for me it was 55°F and below), put the photo in your pocket to develop, not facedown on a table or surface. The cold makes the photos greenish, so putting it in your pocket where it’ll be warmer helps prevent that from happening. If you’re getting this, do some research on photography! If your photos aren’t coming out the way you expected, try to adjust some of the settings. Also, remember that film is super expensive, so if you’re learning photography with this camera, be prepared to spend money on some bad photos. (I won’t say waste, because even my “bad” photos came out pretty cool, just not as expected, and I got to learn from them). ... show more

  • “Fun and nostalgic “
Style: Camera Color: Forest Green
I recently purchased the Polaroid camera, and it has been an absolute joy to use! The instant film experience brings back nostalgic memories while offering a unique and creative way to capture moments. The camera’s design is sleek and compact, making it easy to carry around for spontaneous photo opportunities. The quality of the prints is surprisingly good, with vibrant colors and a vintage touch that adds to the charm of the photographs. Operating the camera is straightforward, and the instant gratification of holding a physical photo in your hands just seconds after capturing the moment is priceless. It’s a refreshing departure from the digital world of smartphones and offers a tangible and tactile photo experience. The built-in flash is useful for low-light situations, ensuring that you can capture memories in various lighting conditions. I also appreciate the variety of film options available, including color, black and white, and special edition frames, allowing for creative expression. One small drawback is that the film packs can be a bit pricey, but the unique experience and the joy it brings to both kids and adults outweigh the cost. Overall, I highly recommend the Polaroid camera for anyone looking to add a touch of nostalgia and fun to their photography. It’s a perfect gift for special occasions and a great addition to any social gathering. ... show more

  • Exactly what you expect
Style: Camera Color: Forest Green
This is a great product, built very well. Sturdy, and smooth function. The one thing I didn't pay attention to though, this particular pack doesn't come with any print cartridges. That was a bit annoying, but my own fault for not paying closer attention when buying.

Was given this as a present to my wife and I for date nights out and about with a photo album. Works perfect for what we’re doing.

  • Super Disappointing. So expensive and photos are terrible.
Style: Camera Color: Black
This thing is SO EXPENSIVE and so so bulky. I read other reviews and figured maybe people had too high of expectations for a Polaroid…but no lol. This is garbage. Overall one star because even though I got about 3 decent images from it, every single image has a mark on it caused by the camera, and it’s just incredibly expensive for what you get. It seems really cool at first, but in my case there’s something wrong with the camera that causes a big fingerprint looking splotch on every picture. With each picture I took (8 total) there were increasing light and dark spots on the image. I downloaded the app and was super excited to try the double exposure feature….and it didn’t work at all (see image). Each image costs about $2 so it feels super wasteful. Coloring is bad, price point it bad, product size is obnoxious. I will probably try the Fujifilm Instax Square! ... show more

  • Great features and photo quality is amazing
Style: Camera + Film Color: Black
I collect cameras and I always loved polaroid film since I was a kid. It's nice to see film come back in style as it's nice to keep memories in physical form. The best feature is the double exposure and it's the reason I wanted this camera. I have yet to try the filters but so far I'm impressed with the photo quality and everything that comes with the camera. Definitely worth the money 💖 ... show more

  • Inconsistent
Style: Camera + Film Color: Black
The image quality was excellent if I got the exposure right, but if I relied on auto mode it almost always over exposed the image. The best images were portraits taken indoors with flash. The app at first seemed great, but I discovered through trial and error it wouldn't remotely change the focal length from 35mm to 40mm and it wouldn't show live exposure readings. I reported this issue to Polaroid. I ended up returning the Now+ and bought the much more expensive I-2, which I also have to return because the viewfinder display doesn't work. Maybe I had bad luck with both cameras. I really like Polaroids for my professional work, but I am concerned about quality and camera design. The exposures on the I-2 seem much more consistent than on the Now+ using the same I-type film, so I wonder about the shutter speed and aperture accuracy on the Now+. ... show more
