Hello there, nice to meet you! ;o) I'm a person who loves creating... with a bit of Color! My organizing style is color coordinated as well! Allow me to explain: I've been on a quest to find a new planner and hopefully an organizer as well. My brain LOVES to work with color, and I think I found a great solution after months of searching on Amazon! This planner is the most stylish, yet minimalist journal I've seen thus far-- and I've seen a lot of them! My cluttered artist brain simply needed a clean format to pour out my thoughts, and with that, a book that organizes my thoughts so I can acquire the right materials, and plot my timeline-- so I can literally create great works. I'm not kidding. (No worries, this planner works for those in other areas too, it's just that this format feels like an artist styled book, inside and out!) This Poketo Spectrum Rainbow Planner is just that... well laid out, 256 colorful thick pages that let you document your process in creating various artworks, as well as clarify what you need to accomplish to get that artwork to fruition which does take time, like several months. Each month has its own color coded pages, complete with 2 days worth of concise note taking on each page. There's even a small area on each page that can accommodate mini sketches, for those artists still figuring out how things ought to go together! Oh! I forgot to mention that you get 6 additional full-page Notes pages for each month, just for writing notes to your heart's content. I think someone might call those pages a mini-journal! Even better, this 'book' can be started at any particular month that you actually start 'working,' and continue to the following year. That is such a cool concept in itself! I can't begin to tell you how many dated planners and journals I've wasted the first few months of paper that I can never really use again. I think you know the feeling! ;o) The cover is of heavy card stock with a beautiful take on a rainbow pattern, modernistic in style. This planner/journal feels very sturdy to hold and to write in. Truth be told, I feel like I got a perfect artist planner that can be found in a museum gift shop... it feels SO special! My only teen weeny suggestion or two: It would be lovely to have this book as spiral bound to open flat... and possibly a ribbon or bookmark to quickly access the page you are working on. (There isn't an easy way to to find your current page at the moment.) These comments are merely helpful hints to the designer of these wonderful planners, as it doesn't diminish the qualities these planners have. I *love* rainbow-colored things, I love planners, and there are few planners more rainbow-colored than this. I'm not sure you can call this a daily or a weekly planner. There are four days per spread, with no weekly or monthly view, followed by a few notes pages at the end of each month. I really enjoy the uniqueness of the layout – it's rare to find something that doesn't fit one of the "standard" planner layouts. After a while, though, you start to feel the lack of those standard layouts – it's tricky to get a view of your week in advance, and the starts and ends of weeks don't align to page boundaries (at least if you're using it daily). So I think this planner may be better-suited as a short vacation from the normal world than a full year-round planner. Still, it is very pretty, and very colorful, and if you're a fan of color you'll likely enjoy spending at least a little while with it. ... show more

As I ordered this item, I wondered what kind of quality it would have to be for me to consider it a good value. Once I received it, it became clear that this book is the type of quality I would expect at this price. It's a beautiful book. The cover is a very thick paper, almost rigid, but still a little flex. There are vibrant colors throughout. The months are color coded in a spectrum of colors. Each page could hold two days of to do lists and notes. In fact, you never really have to mark a day. You could just start at the top and keep going. I think I like this open concept. Instead of feeling like I have to keep crossing things off and rewriting them the next day, I could keep a perpetual list. I'm thinking I could put the year on top and then just keep making my list until the next month rolls around and then skip to the next month and even cycle back through for the next year if I wanted to. I have a desk calendar where I write down all of my appointments and meeting times, so this would be great for perpetual notes and to-do list. I really love this idea and I'm enjoying using this planner so far. The pages are thick. I was really excited about this new (to me) concept and it's been going wwll so far. Not sure how I feel about this planner. It’s nice quality, heavyweight paper. Bold and bright design. Undated. But there are no pockets, no bookmark/placeholder ribbon, it’s not spiral… I’m going to give it some time, but I will say that I am glad I got this to review because there’s no way I’d pay close to $40 for it. ... show more
