    • Great set for the casual player!
Style: 500 Piece Poker Set
I'm very happy with this set. To a casual player, the minor issues should not be a deal breaker and I definitely recommend this set. A little more details... The case has issues as other reviewers have mentioned. If I were to lock it, I'd be worried about it not unlocking, but it's a cheap poker chip set and there's really no need to lock it. The case had some wood pieces inside of it but nothing near as bad as the other reviews would have you believe and it cleaned up just fine. Dents? Check. Cheap? Check. Holds chips without issues? Check. It does what it needs to do so no negative points from me. The chips did not feel cheap to me -- a casual player. There are a couple that had minor chips in them but they have a pretty good weight to them and stack without issue. For what I paid for, I'm more than satisfied with these chips. Had a decent color to them. The cards are not the highest quality, but we were able to make it through a long weekend of poker with them. The cards had a slight bend in them when we were done. Pick up a different set of cards if you're going to be using this regularly. Picked this up to play with friends and had more than enough chips to go around for 6 people. If you have friends that will mock you for having a few chips with a piece of metal showing, this is not the case for you and you shouldn't be looking at cheap sets anyway. If you're having a fun night with friends, buy without worries. ... show more

    • Great chip set for the price
Style: 500 Piece Poker Set
Just received the set in today, and I have to say, I'm pleased with the purchase. The aluminum case is a little thin, but it arrived in very good condition with only very minor dings. The case closes properly, so no issues there. I don't plan on using the lock on it, since that seems rather pointless. The chips have a nice feel to them, and are heavy like casino chips. Is every chip perfect? No, and I don't expect them to be for the price. A few don't look like they are cut perfectly, but this is barely noticeable and in no ways effects play. The cards are basically the cheap kinds, so you're better off buying quality decks. Dealer and blind buttons come with it as a bonus, but I don't plan on using them too much. Previous reviewers have commented on the holder inside being cheap and flimsy. The set I got seems very sturdy, so I'm pleased with that aspect of it. Also, some reviewers are getting very nitpicky, such as the color of the chips being drab, minor imperfections with the chips, etc. These are extremely minor complaints compared to the low price you're getting for a decent amount of chips with an adequate case, which is all one really needs to start a poker night. Combined with free Super Savings shipping, you can't go wrong with this set. Highly recommended! ... show more

    • Definitely worth the money!
Style: 500 Piece Poker Set
My wife got me this set as a Christmas gift, and I couldn't be any happier. This is definitely a great set for the $28 price. I just started a poker game with the guys, and this set got lots of praise. The case itself seems sturdy enough - no obvious defects. It is not aircraft grade aluminum, but it does hold the chips in place and even has locks on it to keep out my 4 year old. The chips are nice and solid, seem to stack well, and the colors appear consistent and have a cool dice pattern on them. It is not casino grade by any means, but if you are just looking to host a game with the guys, they look fine. They "clink" heavily when tossed into the pot. We had plenty of chips for 6 guys. The dealer button, big blind and little blind were a nice addition. The cards are pretty cheap, so don't expect those to be your set to use for the game. It has room in the case for two decks of cards, so I just substituted two decks of nice Aviator cards. It also comes with 6 dice and a spot to hold them as well as the dealer, big/little blind buttons. Overall a great deal for the price. Highly recommend. ... show more

    • Definitely satisfied, especially for the price
Style: 500 Piece Poker Set
I've really been wanting a full fledged poker set such as this one for a long time, and when I saw it was on sale around black friday, I pounced on the more than 50% off deal. As this is my first poker set, I don't have any past sets to compare the chips too. However, compared to my friend's quite nice set these seem to be somewhat on par for the relatively middle/slightly upper end as far as chips go. The chips have a slightly ceramic type feel to them, and I must say I was impressed with how nice the chips were for the price. The set came with the same colors shown in the picture for the product, and the colors of the chips within each color type were uniform with only one or two errors out of 500 chips that I could find through the couple times I have used the chips since buying them. Beyond the normal poker chips though, the set also comes with the big blind and little blind chips, as well as a dealer chip, and two sets of playing cards. All the extra bits except the playing cards feel sturdy, as quite frankly the playing cards are super cheap feeling. I would recommend planning on investing in a better set of cards should you choose to buy this set if you don't already have a nice set of chips. Finally there have been a lot of reviews on here stating that their poker cases were very damaged, beat up, or straight up didn't work. The case that I received, while nothing spectacular, came in working order with no dents or even a scratch to speak of. There are also two locks on the case, but these locks probably wouldn't even hold out a determined mouse from getting in so he can play poker with some fat cats..... Anyway, I overall would recommend this set if you are a casual player looking to get a decent set of chips for a good price. The amount of chips you get allow you to play with a good amount of people at once, making it great for when people come over. ... show more

    • The Chips are Fantastic; the Case is Adequate
Style: 500 Piece Poker Set
The title pretty much says it all. CHIPS: The chips are fantastic for the price. I do not think that you can get the same quality chips for the same price anywhere. No question about it; five stars. CARDS: I do not use the decks of cards that came with the set because I like the feel of my own cards; so, nothing to report on the cards themselves. DEALER, BIG BLIND, SMALL BLIND MARKERS: The Big Blind, Small Blind, and Dealer markers had some of the text smeared, but it does not take away from the functionality. So, still a fiver-star rating on that. CASE: The case is adequate. It gets the job done. But, it is not the best in craftsmanship. It closes properly; opens properly; but the latches take some careful alignment to close without difficulty. Four stars for the case. Overall, well worth the money; but, that is only my humble opinion. ... show more

    • For the price, you can't go wrong.
Style: 500 Piece Poker Set
We were a little concerned when we ordered these, as reviews were mixed. We see a Great value here, and are very pleased. We wanted an inexpensive set of chips, for home craps play, and these are it. Case arrived fine, chips are very realistic. They have Dice imprinted on them as opposed to cards, which we liked because we are using them with dice. Completely satisfied. Chips are approx. 40 MM diameter and 3MM thick. I added the size, because I could not find it in the description. They look and feel like real casino chips. Next time I go, I will take a chip to compare. If you just want something for inexpensive home play, for $29.99 and free shipping, this is it. If you want real chips, then pay the price and get real chips. To the seller: Since others have complained of damaged cases, I would suggest a double wrap of bubble plastic. Since these are so heavy, I can see where a drop by the delivery person, might cause case damage. I just weighed this set at approximately 16lbs. Maybe bubble plastic and foam peanuts would work better. Also I am adding that since writing the review, I have had time to acquire a real casino chip from the local casino with which to compare size. The thickness is identical, however, they are just a tiny bit larger in diameter. Hardly noticeable. I am guessing about 1 millimeter larger in diameter than our local casino chips. ... show more

    • 1000% Awesome
Style: 500 Piece Poker Set
Review Image by crayolagreenrabbit
What fun! Both the chips and the case are surprisingly heavy and well made. No complaints. We got this set to pair with a poker mat that goes on top of our kitchen table to add some fun flair to our usual family game night. Our boys are older now, almost 11 and 13 and are learning how to play poker, blackjack and the like... so no more candyland and go fish for us...things got real 😆 Not really but the chips add an extra level of fun. We choose to start off with the same amount and it allows us to 'bet' for fun. I feel the price was extremely reasonable for the quality. I am glad that I went ahead with the 500 count so we will have plently of chips to host our friends too. We are really happy with the purchase. ... show more
