The media could not be loaded. The Poyolab 16 key flute is a very nice piece of instrument that carries a good Volume of sound. It is Sharply well made with Stunning Flexible keys to perform with Clear and Precise notes. I have never played the flute before but is quite fond of instruments. My favorite is still the harmonica but I thought I would give the flute a try. This Flute is a wonderful Cost-Effective piece that beginners or anyone that wants to begin again playing the flute at an Affordable price. This alone is the best reason for this flute. However, if you want to continue playing the flute in a more advance level like becoming part of music group. You might consider buying something at an advance level at that time. This Flute sounds really good and anyone would have tons of enjoyment with it. I do think they should include a book that explains more in details about the operation of the flute. Beginners may not understand how to use it. Flutes is a wind instrument which means it requires a lot of air to operate effectively. I would start by blowing into the mouth piece first without connecting the other tubes to get a fill of air passing through the tube, then I would press the palm of my hand over the end of the mouth piece tube to start making sounds. Once I got used to this I would then connect the other parts of the flute. I would say if the flute is not making a good sound it could be that you are not blowing into it right and letting too much air out of your lips. Also I would check the needles on the flute to make sure one of them have not popped out. There should be needles on the flute behind the keys that look like a straight pin and if one is missing you have a damage flute. Also I would make sure the tubes are aligned correctly. The mouth piece should be aligned with the keys of the body and the foot should be aligned by the ball on the first key of the foot to the last key on the body of the flute. Also you need to remove the sponges under the keys. But practice makes it better. I'm still learning myself and just now getting it to blow the notes. So be patience and practice. This is a very fine basic to intermediate instrument. The tone is as good as my vintage Bundy and it comes with many extras included. It arrived well packed with tiny sponge wedges ensuring the keys did not “bounce” and damage anything. It comes with a polishing cloth and a very nice nylon swabbing rod to wipe the interior of the flute after practice to remove moisture. It also has a small screw driver to tighten any loose screws and a set of cotton gloves to wear while you clean, lubricate and then wipe and polish your instrument. The gloves ensure you do not leave hand oils on the flute that might damage the finish or pads. There is even a small container of a wax lube to use when assembling the flute so things slide together easily. The flute stand is also a nice addition. Please see the accompanying photos. It says the flute comes in a “hard case”. It is a very nice nylon case with shoulder strap that has the velvet cloth covered hard plastic insert stapled to the nylon case. This is the worst criticism I have. DON’T LET THIS STOP YOU from ordering this flute. This is a very good sounding instrument and it plays a well. I had zero defects and zero problems. I have played other, more expensive instruments, and some of those more expensive flutes were harder to get a good sound out of. They had to be warm, they had to be held just so or whatever! I have kids who are into music and making music. Schools often don't have enough instruments so I was excited to get one that we could own and use. For the price this is a really decent flute. It comes well packed in a case and is easy to put together. It plays a nice sound and my kids really enjoy learning some of the nuances of the flute. Definitely worth the price. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I did 3 years in band playing the flute and I kind of miss playing it. I thought I would tach my daughter to play so I got this. She was so excited to learn how to play it, I didn't own my flute I had to rent it from school. So to be able to own this one is very exciting. It comes with everything needed to clean it and oil it to be able to be put together easily without scratching it or rubbing causing it to stick. I live that it comes with a carrying case. When I first opened it each peice was wrapped individually in plastic to protect it. And each key had foam stoppers on it to keep the keys from moving during packaging. It's a very good brand, I played it and it's still like being in high school. ... show more
