  • Good quality multipurpose knife for a very good price!
Color: 1 Camo
This is the second knife I’ve purchased from Grand Way. The first was far more decorative (but useful), this second one is very practical. I’ve used it on a couple weekend backpacking trip now and have no complaints. The blade deployment is easy (with one hand if needed) and fold up easily once the lock is disengaged. Using the knife fully with one hand works well but you do need a bit of dexterity to do so (opening and closing). The “extra” features on the knife ( spark striker and whistle) work well. The whistle can be used without removing it from the knife and is extremely high pitched and clear (I scared the heck out of my cats with it by accident when testing it). I suspect it’ll be useful for frightening off wildlife that gets a little to chummy. The striker works (you have to scrape down the finish, as with any striker) well enough. It is very small and intended for emergency use (I’d not use it as your main fire lighting source simply due to size), and in that regard it works well. I was able to light a homemade fire starter / tinder (cotton ball covered in Vaseline) within just a minute or so of trying. The extra paracord wrapped on the handle may be hard to remove, but could be done in an emergency if needed, it’s mostly there for grip and hang utility though. This knife seems to be a great value for a 440c blade in a package that is very useable and attractive. I’m hoping to enjoy using it for years. I’m hard on knives, and will update down the road if I find issues, but for now I think it’s great and am planning on ordering a few more for stocking stuffers this year. ... show more

  • Got what I hoped for.
Color: 1 Camo
A sturdy knife to keep around. Something that feels strong and isn’t too much money. Anyone that like knives should enjoy the bonus cordage that comes wrapped around the handle. Not to mention a fire starter rod that fits very snug in the handle. It’s not going anywhere unless you want it. The handle itself is a good grip. ... show more

  • Excellent knife for money spent, happy with purchase.
Color: 1 Camo
This knife arrived very quickly and very well packaged. The spring assisted blade deploys easily consistently. The blade lock functions perfectly and is very easy to release. The only issue is the flint storage location. It does fit very loosely and will easily fall out. The fix as previously mention in the comments works very and well and takes all of about 20 seconds to accomplish. I've added a picture showing what the fix looks like. You just tread one of the cords through a hole in the handle slot where the flint is stored. This creates friction to keep the flint snug in place. I threaded mine down through the handle and out through the hole and then tied the two cords together to form a convenient loop that I can slip my hand trough and the loop fits around my wrist. The blade is sharp, but I'm not sure how long it will keep its edge sharp with use. The down side is I can't get a spark from the flint. I need to do some more research on the net to see if I'm using the flint right. The flint issue is not a deal breaker for me. The handle feels good in my grip. Overall I'm very impressed with the knife for the money spent on it. I gave it four stars because of my flint spark issue. ... show more

  • Very Nice Knife!!!!
Color: 1 Camo
When my knife arrived I took it out for a quick test drive. I do a lot with scouting and need knives for various tasks. This knife has a decent edge out of the box, but that will obviously be honed. The feel and sturdiness makes me confident when using to cut or strip things using the blade. Very easy and responsive flip out for quick access. The bonus was the fire striker which is stowed in the hilt. I have many of these in my individual packs so it is nice to have one right in my pocket accompanying my knife. I will be out hiking and camping this weekend and will add this to my collection and see how it works out in my more rigorous usage. All in all, I think it is a great value for a knife that seems like it will last for a while. Update as of 8/1/2019: I have had the knife for a couple of months. When I attended a scouting event I used the knife. It worked well. When I returned home after that week, I went to go clean the knife and noticed that the screw/bolt that holds the knife to the handle was missing. This renders the knife useless as it is unstable. I am not able to find out how to reach customer service to find out about servicing the knife. There was not a lot of heavy use, so I am not sure why the bolt was loosened. ... show more

  • Worth the price
Color: 1 Camo
For the price, this is a good survival knife. Definitely 3D printed, but it’s the quality you pay for. The knife isn’t the sturdiest, but it’ll get the job done. 3 minutes of sharpening and this thing is shaaaarp. Tested the fire starter and it works great. Definitely worth the value.

  • Updated Review, knife is safe. First one was a dud.
Color: 1 Camo
I suppose it’s decent for the price, but it has a *very very poor* locking mechanism for the blade. I really have to flick it hard while opening to make it lock. Beyond what is reasonable, in my opinion. This is not a safe knife. That being said, it’s decent for the price. Knowing that I have to put a little extra oomph into opening it, I don’t have issues as long as I do it properly. The sharpness as shipped is not impressive, but a little sharpening and it’s fine. It’s not gonna be the sharpest knife ever, and I don’t think anyone expects it to be for under $10. Updated review: The manufacturer reached out to me and sent me a new knife. It is now clear the first knife was a dud, because there is an obvious difference in the opening/locking mechanism between the two. Whereas the dud was loose and required quite a bit of extra effort to flick open and lock, this new one does not. Simply by pressing down on the spine, the knife flicks open effortlessly and locks. It feels solid, and there is detectable friction with this new knife as it opens and locks that was not there with the first. For $10, this blade is more than worth it. ... show more
