Good knife. Unfortunately if you don't use the flip lever from the back, the blade will not stick and has the potential to close on your fingers or hand. I personally purchased it for the knife & paracord combo. The price is good but you get what you pay for.

Dangerous! Check the blade lock First! This knife feels sturdy, sharp and well constructed. However like others have observed, the blade fails to lock open. This is a very dangerous flaw! The problem is that the catch does not slip behind the heel of the blade and not enough material was ground from the heel to fit it. (Edit: I received a replacement knife and I'm quite pleased with it. All aspects are functional and it is very sturdy. The grip is very comfortable and easy hold. The knife opens easily and the blade lock functions as it should. The emergency whistle and flint are difficult to remove but I'm ok with that as I want these to be there if I ever need them.) ... show more
