Could not get a sound. 15 minutes with this and I was making sound. That was after weeks of trying. Today I started using it to break up a practice session. Used it for 5 + minutes twice in 30 minutes and got an improvement each time. Will be using it whenever I take a break from practice for a while. ... show more

    • Wow, I wish I would have bought one years ago!
I'm a younger band teacher, and even though flute is one of my better instruments, I've always struggled with teaching beginner flutes. They typically have a very airy sound and lack a good volume. I can show them on my face how to make a proper embrochure and where to blow, but it was always slow going. I never knew quite how to describe the whole situation. I saw someone in a Facebook group recommend one of these, and I laughed. But it got me thinking, I saw the price tag, and thought, why not? I got it and I played around with it, and it actually made me change my airstream a bit. I passed it around during lessons with some of my older middle school flute students, and they tried it, and then immediately went to their own flute, and were shocked with the difference in tone and volume.     • I highly recommend learning it with a Pneumo Pro in hand
Purchased a 2nd Pneumo Pro and sent it to my little sister the Flautist. It really helped me to clearly understand and develop my embouchure as a beginning Bb six-hole fifer. Having tried to teach myself to play the fife 30-years ago, and not fully understanding the importance of jaw-movement and lip position, tension, and air intensity and direction, it's a wonder that I managed to play a tune. The difference in my capabilities and rate of improvement using the Pneumo Pro versus not having used one is quite remarkable. Your experience may not mirror my own; but having tried to learn the fife with and without the Pneumo Pro, I highly recommend learning it with a Pneumo Pro in hand. And by the way, hiring a good experienced instructor (at least in the beginning to help avoid self-inflicted mistakes and bad habits) will help a lot too. ... show more
