This robe has been great, and it is been holding up well, he wears it every day. If you’re getting this for present, it was shipped in a see-through bag, so heads up if you to check the mail yourself or it may ruin the surprise :) I highly recommend, the inside is soft like terry cloth and the outside has a very nice smooth texture. It’s well-made and durable seems to be very high-quality and comfortable. I would not say this is an absorbent robe but it’s a good lounging robe. The weight is pretty heavy too. This is the second Monarch robe I have and use their durable light weight waffle robe for shower. This winter house robe is substantial - their sizing is consistent. It is a heavier robe. The advantages: lining fabric is very soft, sleeve length and robe belt adjustments on target. Washed beautifully to get rid of the packing smell. If you are a wrinkle freak, this may not be for you. The outer fabric has retained the packing wrinkling and I may try a cool iron to get rid of the wrinkles. But that does not matter to me. I wanted a good quality spa robe I’ve experienced in higher end spas but couldn’t afford the $$$$. This white robe with the “hotel” emblem is perfect. I’m feeling the quality I was searching for at $50 instead of $100+. I’m curious if the emblem will bleed in the wash so cold water wash should be good. Very high quality robe. It is warm and comfortable. I am 5’10” and 195 pounds and I ordered the medium and it fits perfectly. The robe is heavier than a terry cloth bathrobe.
