I'm apple-shaped (big on top with small butt and thighs), and I was cursed with practically touching ribs & hipbones, so I have no natural waist. I picked this dress up to have a cool, lightweight autumn/winter layering piece. As a plus sized gal, I rarely wear just a dress because that much fabric is a LOT. I also run hot, and don't want to add warmth. Pros: Long sleeves, but cool Wrap is modest even when bending over Hangs well: Empire waist cinches dress at smallest point, very full skirt. The length allows the dress to be styled with either leggings or tights. Skirt is very full. Even with hips/rear that are a size larger than my top this skirt has plenty of room Versatile: My fave look is with a black belt, tights, and chelsea boots, silver layered necklaces, and a jean jacket. I've also styled it with skinny leg jeans, brown boots and belt, a brown leather jacket and antique gold jewelry. I style the dress up with black tights, pumps, and a black rayon flyway cardigan, gold jewelry. Color is accurate in listing photos. Cut for small/medium bust Cons: Elastic at wrists is nearly double the size needed, so sleeves hang. The elastic is the proper size to wear the sleeves pushed up to 3/4 length. NO POCKETS Fabric is wrinkly even when laundered as directed and requires steaming/ironing. Bloomchic/Walmart quality: Well sewn seams, inexpensive fabric, serged finish on sleeves and hem. Overall, this dress is a great value and I expect to get a lot of wear out of it this year. A fun piece with classic lines for pear shapes.
