I ordered this PS3 due to the fact it said backwards compatible. Description states x4 USB ports. Only have 2 on mine which ment instantly no PS2 games for me. Still overall it works and came in a good condition. Just not 100% satisfied.

Functions as expected. Clean and free of scratches. Good packaging. I swapped out the hard drive for a 1TB unit; and after boot from backup and software update the system works great. I am having a great time playing my old PSX and PS2 games with the upscale features and virtual memory cards.

    • The USB ports do not seem to work
Everything else on the console seems to work fine, games loaded up and the output with audio and video were great. Once I tried to plug in a controller to connect it, nothing. No flashing lights or anything. I tried 3 different controllers with different wires. Nothing worked. I tested all of these on my father's and they worked perfectly fine ... show more

    • Can’t even play games
They sent one that is overheating. Get red flashing light that forces the system to shut down and I have to wait and hard power cycle. Why wouldn’t you teat them before you put them up for sale as renewed…!!!!

What I liked is how very well cleaned it was and how very quiet it sounded. It been working very well use it mostly for offline gaming and tried ps1, ps2 and ps3 games and work great. I'm greatly satisfied with the system I got and grateful to have one as well.

    • Red/yellow light of death with little to no use
I turned the console on for the first time and was so excited. The console physically was in great condition, looked new. But by the second time I played it, it got the red/yellow light of death. It refused to turn on. Amazon would not even let me return it or swap for another one. Now I may have to look into buying replacement parts and opening it up to fix it myself. Really disappointed, especially cause I purposefully bought a refurbished system from Amazon to avoid the hassle of opening it up and fixing it. ... show more

    • Best console ever made!
This is one of if not the best gaming console ever made. I love all the PS3s, but this one is perfect. It allows you to play PS1, PS2, and PS3 games, all from the disc, as well as play CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray. The only issue I have is it's lack of storage, which can be fixed with a simple purchase of a hard drive. Allowing you to play the entire PS1, PS2 and PS3 library, you have a near endless quantity of games to play, meaning you'll never have to worry about being bored. Give this bad boy a few mods and you can even play a large amount of PSP games! Yes that's right, PSP games, all from one box, as well as older systems with emulators. To put it lightly, this is by far and away the BEST gaming console ever made. If you can find one for cheap, buy it! Just make sure to clean it out, and get some thermal paste to keep the system alive and strong. ... show more

    • DID NOT COME WITH ANY CORDS OR A BOX
This PlayStation 3 did not have an HDMI cord with it nor does it have a power cord! Very disappointing considering I paid $250 for this item. It also did not have a box for it either.
