  • The most obnoxious toy beloved by my son
Product Packaging: Frustration-Free Packaging
We got this for our son when he was about 6months old. Like every other toy he’s received, there was a delay in the time we got it and the time he started playing with it —which is about 1 month. But from 7 months old to now (16 months) this I has been his favorite toy. He learned very quickly how to press the button to get it started on his own. And Not a single day goes by that he doesn’t press that button. From 9-11 months, he would play with it for close to an hour at a time—which in baby time, that’s years. But, beware of the obnoxiousness that comes with this. Unfortunately there is no sound option, which means it is just constantly on Loud. Also, when you first put the batteries in, the vent is so strong, the balls would shoot out, and because he wasn’t as mobile back then, it would be my husband and I chasing the balls around the living room making him laugh and putting it back in the tube, only for him to start the process all over again—at least until he got more mobile. Why we didn’t take it away you ask? Because we made the decision to buy it for him and he absolutely loved it, so we lived with it. I’ve learned as a parent to not buy obnoxious toys for friends who have kids unless they have expressed consent—why? Because I wouldn’t want anyone buying it for my kid. If this is for your child, I would highly recommend but know that you are making the decision with awareness—As I write this the music with the little “yeah!” Plays in my head on repeat… If it’s for a friend or family member—don’t do it to them (unless you get consent). They will hold it against you for eternity. ... show more

  • THE Toy Right Now
Product Packaging: Frustration-Free Packaging
The media could not be loaded. I bought this for Christmas. At the time, my son was 7 months and he wasn't really interested. He did like the balls. The adults seemed to like it more than him. Fast-forward, my son turned 9 months and started to like the toy (yep, they got the age right on this one for my son). He's nearly 10 months and is obsessed with it. It is the toy he zeros in on in his playpen. He's even putting the balls back when they pop out and absolutely loves putting his hand over the opening to stop the balls from popping. I only have 3 complaints: 1) It doesn't come with enough balls. Before he was interested, we lost the red ball and it didn't work properly (we've since found it). Also with how often balls pop out, 5 balls aren't enough to keep it going through a cycle. We bought the pack of 12 replacements. Well worth it! 2) It's hard for my son to press the button to get this going. He's at the stage that he hits at things and I see him hitting the button, but it's not enough to get it to start. He eventually gets annoyed and yells at it. Or just takes balls out and puts them in the top to slide down. It's easier for him to flip the tiny switch to turn it off than to hit the big mushroom button to get it started! 3) Sometimes the balls get stuck in the tube and you have to push them a bit to get them going again. It's not difficult and with enough patience, it'll work it out on its own. ... show more
