  • Fun and Enjoyable Family Movie
I am a new Playmobil fan, and partially due to this movie. I was very hesitant to watch it because I had read reviews on other sites stating that it's a copy of the lego movies, and it's not creative. First off, there are similarities, but they are different movies. If anything, the comparison should be made that the lego movie is the same as the Matrix, which makes it a boring copycat (BTW I enjoy the Lego movie). The other reason i love the movie is that it is entirely kid friendly, and that there were quite a few hilarious parts. It's unfortunate that it was deemed an economic failure, because the world needs more wholesome movies without agendas for the whole family. It's a fun, innocent and quirky movie. We should support creative minds and applaud anyone's efforts to create unity and show stories of courage instead of fostering division. ... show more

  • Family movie
So apparently I missed this when it came out. We watched the preview and thought it looked cute. My children and I enjoyed it. It's not Lego, it's Playmobil which is a German brand. It's fun, funny and not too long.

  • Very cute movie
We got this movie because my son received a Playmobil Movie toy set for Christmas and we thought we'd check it out, since it was such a good price. Very cute and my son loves it, has watched it several times. I found it enjoyable as well, and thankfully there's not nearly as much singing as in Disney films. Even without having any Playmobil toys, the movie is relatable. Certainly worth a look, and different than most of what's out there for kids these days. ... show more

  • Fun, light
I got this because I’m a fan of Adam Lambert, and he voiced over the villain character. I had seen bad reviews of this movie. I liked it, though. I thought the acting was good and the story was light and fun to watch. Sometimes I think the people who review these movies are too snooty. Adam, in particular, really knocked it out of the park. Maybe it wouldn’t be good for older children. I’m not sure I’d show it to a very small child, but on the other hand a 12-year-old might be too old for it. I on the other hand, as an older person, an in my second childhood and like it very much. ... show more

  • Playmobil created a fun kids movie
Playmobil is a top toy in our household. Our kids couldn’t wait to see the movie, so once it became available we bought it. The kids have rewatched it several times. The songs are catchy and good for a kids movie. It’s not commercialized and it doesn’t make a bunch of jokes around pop culture, like the LEGO movies. The trailer had me think it was a spy movie, but I was very wrong. It’s about two siblings being sucked into the Playmobil universe, end up separated from each other then they go on an adventure to find each other. It’s a fun story and well made. ... show more

  • 6 year old said its boring.
While it's hard not to compare it to the lego movie, this falls flat compared to that. I can't see any kid over 10 wanting to watch this, and any child over 5 is likely to get very bored. The opening, which is live action and random musical number, was a bit of a surprise, and not in a good way. I thought we had put on the wrong movie, as it took nearly 15 minutes to get to the playmobil part. Once we did, the movie never really got up to speed. Stuff happened, but it was all very meh. ... show more

  • My kids give it 2 thumbs up!
My 3 boys (10, 6 & 3) are huge playmobil fans, they have a variety of their toys. I was skeptical about this movie from some negative reviews, but just bought it for my kids to watch. They loved it!! Granted it isn’t geared toward an adult’s interest, it is perfect for kids, especially those who enjoy playmobil, and mine also are huge LEGO fans. My boys have watched it multiple times just this week, so we give it 2 thumbs up. ... show more

  • Better than I thought
My son loves Playmobil toys and when this first came out he wanted to see it in the theatre. I was very hesitant, it looked like a B-Flick cartoon and very cheesy. However, I was pleasantly surprised, the movie was great. It had action, friendship, adventure and the graphics were as good as a Disney film. We ended up buying the movie and have watched it a few times. ... show more
