This pirate set is well made and cute. However, the pieces of each character are challenging to take apart and put together even for adults. Also, parents will have to decide about the various little pieces as to which ones to hold back due to the child's age.

I grew up with Playmobil and it was a collection of toys that my brother and sister (4 and 8 years younger than me) would all be able to play with together and have many excellent adventures which we did. Now I give my nephews Playmobil and they love them just as much. They may have different interests but one puts down his blocks and the other puts down his Leggo to share some time together with their Playmobil. Right now we are into pirates! This particular set is really great and can be set up in a few ways and is a great add on to the pirate island they already have. Argh! ... show more
