This was so much better quality than I realized and it was perfect for my toddler. He was excited to open it every day and everything was super cute. Some have cheap fillers but I feel like every piece of this set actually will hold up and he was interested in playing with all of them.

These are great for small children! Very solid and built in a way that is hard for them to come apart. This particular set is a great mix of different animals and people along with some accessories. Enough to keep a child entertained for a long time! Great addition to a Playmobil Junior collection

    • Absolutely adorable…and educational…
I don’t typically write reviews, but felt I needed to after reading some of the others here. I bought this for my 20 month old granddaughter and in my opinion it is so so cute…but also very educational, which is always important to me with toys! I did not use it as an advent calendar as my granddaughter is out of the country for several weeks spending Christmas with her other grandparents, so I cannot speak to that aspect of opening the package. I love that it has a touch of Christmas, but more than that it is a really great toy for a toddler to learn about the winter season, such as the animals taking shelter in the tree or burrowing in the ground; or positions such as over, under, around,; there are plenty of counting opportunities with some single animals, 2 wild boars or angels, 3 deer or presents; the reindeer/airplane also has wheels so you can push it along like a car; and the presents can be connected together for toddlers to work on fine motor skills. The footprints are what actually first caught my interest in this set. I can’t wait to talk about different footprints with my granddaughter and then make some of our own in the snow together and search for other tracks ( I live where there are lots of deer and wild turkeys and other critters around). I actually also bought a board book a few weeks ago about where animals go in the winter, so this set goes right along with that theme. I also like that the footprints can be stacked, developing another fine motor skill. I would agree it would be fun if the star could somehow sit atop the tree; however, the star is very cute and has a great feel to it and is the perfect size for a toddler to carry around…like when you find a small smooth rock on the beach and stick it in your pocket just because it feels good. The quality of this set is excellent and I felt like the on sale price was fair! I liked this set so much I ordered another one, and then texted my 2 nieces who each recently had babies to suggest they get it and save it for next year when their little ones are the right age. I really feel like this is a well thought out toy and PLAYMOBIL knocked it out of the park on this one, so was surprised to see some less than stellar reviews. I will be watching for more PLAYMOBIL Junior sets like this one in the future! ... show more

Got this for my 2+ year old, and it’s a big hit! I do find the doors difficult to open, but otherwise it’s a great gift for a little one. They’ve enjoyed most of the pieces so far

Cute advent calendar for a 2 year old. But this one has some weird stands instead of toys for 5 of the days? Which was both confusing and disappointing.

The 3 year old loved the advent calendar, she had lots of fun. The toys are good quality. The animals had foot prints. The quality was amazing.

    • Best advent calendar for age 1-5!!
I got this for my youngest (almost 2) but it was the favorite for both!! I feel bad I didn’t get this one for my almost 4 year old since they’ve been playing with it so much and we’re only on day 4!
