This review is for the Wkchxd Plastic Playing Cards Starting right at the case, the “black on black” design looks absolutely fantastic with a mandala emblem on the face and carbon fiber graphics on the sides. (I was actually getting frustrated trying to get pics that properly showed how good they look) As the design is textured, it feels good, too. That same textured design carries over to the cards themselves, but doubles down on style with gold and silver foil-like highlights. I also really like that there are no logos or branding anywhere on the cards or case. Wanting to be fair on this review, I pulled out a nearly new set of regular playing cards to compare the two. While the general dimensions look nearly identical, upon placing the two decks of cards side by side, this set is actually taller, which means that the cards themselves are a bit thicker. Going by feel, I could not tell that they were thicker. These cards are nearly identical in their flexibility and “bendability” to the regular set. However, these cards feel much slicker than the regular playing cards and slide really easily across one another. When I went to shuffle this deck, that extra slickness had me lose a bit of control of the cards. It was a quick adjustment to the slickness though and I was shuffling without issue. This is a really, really nice deck of cards and, at the time of this review, a really good value for the price. I definitely recommend it.

These playing cards come in a shrinkwrapped plastic tuckbox. Wow, these cards are gorgeous! The shimmery metallic printing seems to be very well-adhered from my initial handling, and they're made of solid black plastic so that color shouldn't wear at all. They are slippery, so be careful how you handle a stack of them, and consider using a card tray. The box is beautiful too, with a mandala pattern in subtly different shades/textures of black-on-black. But the plastic flap parts tend to get caught on each other, making it difficult to open. Slightly trimming a couple of places on the flaps usually helps with this issue on paper card boxes, but didn't seem to help on this plastic box. So I ended up leaving one end of the box open, and storing the whole thing inside a playing-card-deck-sized clear plastic box that I have a set of.

These cards are SO pretty. The metallic is really shiny and eye-catching. The design is sleek and looks phenomenal. And they are definitely durable and waterproof. I've never had waterproof cards before, but knew they'd be good for camping and when we're playing games with our kids, etc. Only downside is that they are SO SLICK. It's hard to shuffle them and even just hard to hold a hand of them without cards sliding out and ending up all over the floor. I imagine that is an issue with all waterproof cards, but for anyone new to waterproof cards it may come as a surprise that they are quite difficult to work with compared to normal cards.

The media could not be loaded. These are very elegant, chic, high end looking deck of playing cards that just happen to be waterproof! I put one of the Joker cards in a bowl of water and let it sit for a while and took it out and dried it off (it dries quickly) and it was just like it had just been taken out of the deck! These are very slick cards as they’re made from high quality plastic yet they shuffle surprisingly well. The artwork is beautiful with the black/gold/silver colors and the Black mandala on the back of the cards really make these look expensive when they’re actually very affordable. The great thing about these is the waterproof factor! These can easily be used poolside, in the pool, camping or anywhere that standard playing cards would not hold up to wet conditions. They’re just really great looking playing cards and if you want cards that will last around the pool or camp sites and are affordable then these are great! Toodles!
