This beginner piano book is fantastic! As an aunt learning alongside my young nieces and nephews (ages 4 & 5), I'm amazed at how quickly we've progressed. Recently purchased this book and found it to be a fun (and quite easy) way to start learning piano! It’s full of easy to follow songs with color-coded notes making it great for starting out or just getting back into it. Downloadable audio files definitely help!

    • Fun book for very early beginners
I enjoyed the selection of songs within these books - there was an impressive mix. I think it's an interesting idea to include both christmas and other easy songs in the same book - not every parent wants to purchase seperate christmas books especially when kids may be at an entirely different level by the next christmas. The colored notes was interesting and I think the association will truly help children quickly learn the songs and have something fun to show off this holiday season. However, I think the design needs just a tweak. The yellow was very light and bright, and was different to see. Any yellow notes were difficult for me to see in multiple areas of lighting, so those notes could sometimes be a guess. In future editions, I hope they change to a shade that can be seen in any lighting - maybe more of a yellow orange? Or else outine the notes in some way. Fun purchase, I wouldn't use this in official piano lessons, but if your child is interested in learning a handful of songs and you're not ready to commit to weekly lessons and payments this could be a great option to build practice skills and try the instrument out! ... show more

No stickers in the book! The instructions ask you to cut out a page of the book (with sheet music on the back), cut out the small labels and use tape to stick them on your keyboard.

Absolutely amazing book, which is suitable not only for children but also for adults who dream of learning to play the piano! High quality edition, convenient size of the book. The use of colors in the notes is a complete breakthrough, the whole world is used to play black and white notes, while it turned out to be possible to use colors. My 10 y.o. daughter reacts very positively to learning by colors and I can't imagine a better music notebook today for easy and interesting learning of notes and melodies. I read other reviews that said that the cut out notes were on the back of a song - they’ve updated the book! I turned mine into stickers but it would be nice if they came like that. Also, the red and orange are too close in color so it’s easy to confuse the two. Otherwise, my boys love this book and it’s been great for their continued learning. ... show more

I liked the idea and is great for someone like me who struggles to see the notes on the staff. But is is not inclusive enough for left and right hands for someone really wanting to learn to play the piano. I wish that someone could make a piano book like that with colored notes for an adult with visual problema ... show more

    • This book assumes you understand Sharps and Flats..
I bought this for my 4 yr old granddaughter, thinking she could get the idea of notes related to music sheet by the colors.. She is not ready for sharps or flat notes yet, or even two hands which this book has as apart of their repertoire. So, this is not a “first experience” piano book in my opinion. Also, there are not round stickers available as cover photo would suggest. There are square cut outs that you need to use your own tape with and no colors to denote where the sharp or flat is located which you need to know to play some of the songs.. ... show more
