Soft, breathable, and genuinely lightweight—this batting has that “pure cotton” feel quilters love. It needles smoothly (both machine and hand), holds stitches well, and gives a gentle, vintage-style crinkle after the first wash. I noticed no strong odor out of the package and only a bit of lint when handling. Size-wise, 71” × 79” is great for a throw or a small/tight twin; just double-check your top’s measurements if you like wide borders. Loft is low to medium—think cozy drape rather than puffy. Perfect for everyday quilts, baby/lap quilts, and anything that needs to breathe. A few notes: • Expect a little natural shrink (that’s what gives the nice texture). If you want it very flat, pre-soak and air dry the batting, or add a touch more quilting. • On very dark fabrics, you might see minimal bearding; a fresh needle helps. • Arrives folded—10 minutes of laying it flat or a light steam relaxes the creases. Bottom line: clean, natural cotton batting at a fair price with easy sewing and a lovely finish. I’d use it again for throw and gift quilts.

I bought this batting to use with my machine embroidery patterns. It works great and is of really nice quality. The thickness and weight of the cotton is perfect. I did find a similar product at Walmart for almost half the price. I will be buying the lesser expensive product to save money.
