I was looking for a touch screen monitor with as much real estate as I could get and for the price the Planar Helium doesn't disappoint. It offers a good variety of connection options with a DisplayPort, VGA, and HDMI ports. It also has 2x USB 2.0 ports on the rear and 3.5mm audio in/out jacks. It came with a VGA, HDMI, and audio cable as well as a cord wrap and a small cell-phone style stylus (which, while appreciated, is not optimal for such a large screen). The onboard speakers are pretty tinny, but I didn't even realize that it had built in speakers before I purchased it so that's no let-down. I was very impressed by the kickstand attached to the backside of the monitor, it feels very steady when upright at 15 degrees and will hold the unit anywhere along the way down to 70 degrees. When it is in it's lowest position, it is easy to type using on-screen keyboards and take full advantage of the multi-touch functionality. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase. I originally planned to use a wall mount for the screen, but the kickstand works so well I've stuck with it for the last few months. Now for the bad: -This is a HEAVY monitor. It is much heavier even than some of it's all-in-one counterparts such as the Lenovo Horizon (although it is comparable to the A740). -There is a fair amount of light bleed toward the lower corners of the screen. It lessens slightly when the monitor is reclined to its lowest position, so I suspect that this may be a symptom of its weight putting pressure on the display. It becomes noticeable when viewing darker images and video. -It is sometimes difficult to manage cords connected to the monitor. I have both all of the ports except for the audio in/out occupied and there is noticeable resistance from the bending cords when tilting the screen p and down. It seems that it would have been better to put the ports on one side of the screen considering the motion that the screen makes. It is a small downside, but it does become a nuisance from time to time. -I won't short this monitor for not being QHD because of when it came out, but the image quality isn't perfect. Like I said, it's great for multi-tasking, but the color and sharpness aren't where I would want them to be for work in photoshop.

Got this as a replacement monitor for my wife's computer. The VESA mount was great (though I had to move the arm section down because of the different monitor size). The volume of the speakers is low side (I may have connected to the wrong audio port), it is loud enough to be used for Zoom conferencing. I am not sure how well the touchscreen works. To get this to work, you need to use the supplied cable to connect between the monitor and your computer. To get the maximum usage out of the monitor, you will need a second USB port on your computer to connect to the monitor's USB hub. The computer (Windows 10) recognized what cable was connected to, making the software install a snap.

I'm happy with this monitor... I was born in the Eisenhower era #34 and my eyesight has changed over the past decade. A bigger screen of this size 24" is important along with gaining a touch screen. I'd gotten spoiled by a touch screen tablet, phone, and pc at work so I thought it about time to upgrade. Simple to plugin and installed and operational in a matter of minutes.

Was looking for more touch screen real estate by either buying a 27 inch or 31 inch all in one computer or just a 27 inch touchscreen monitor. The difference in a screen and computer was from $500 to $2000 more for a computer. First pre-ordered a DTEN Me Zoom 27 inch but after months of shipping delays canceled and ordered this Planar 27 inch. I use it as a duplicate monitor for annotation when teaching online. So far, so good. Little heavier than expected. Prop stand works well. Was plug and play using Windows 10.

I bought this monitor to use with a mac-mini that I've bootcamped with windows 8. Overall, the touch experience is excellent. The brightness and contrast of the display are also really nice. It comes with a built in webcam as well. The camera works fine but the audio quality is pretty bad compared to using skype on my laptop. Also, it has an odd problem with the usb ports. If I plug a mouse and keyboard into the monitor, it keeps losing the usb connection (touch, mouse and keyboard stop working). If I just plug the mouse and keyboard directly into the computer, it all works great. I am going to get a bluetooth mouse and keyboard soon in the battle against wires but it's something to be aware of. When I plugged a wireless mouse in, touch stopped working all together. That said, Planar technical support has been outstanding. They are amazingly responsive and you communicate with a single person until the issue is resolved. I also have a cable box plugged into it through HDMI. My only nitpick is that adjusting the volume of the monitor speakers is a 4 button push on the OSD when it looks like it should just be on the display. Other than that, it's been a great display.

This monitor, though it works as advertised, is very large and heavy, with a wide bezel (1 1/2 inchess all around, which makes the thing look huge. It was too heavy for my swing-arm stand. The most annoying thing is waking up in the night and seeing the blue light from the monitor. There's no input; it's just a not-too-faint blue; basically enough to light up a small room. This might be good for something like a public display, but does not work as a personal computer monitor. I replace mine with a 24" touch screen from a well-known manufacturer, which is everything this monitor is not -- except it's only 24".

Excellent picture and classy looking bezel. I have this mounted so it can be used a dual monitor for work and as a touch screen for the girls during remote learning. It has worked fantastically for both purposes and the girls love it. It is much heavier than I was expecting but still more than worth it considering the convenience.
