I am required to wear black pants for work, and have been given a couple pairs over the years, but I can often get away with a pair that looks similar and is more comfortable. This is a well made pair of mostly (97%) cotton cargo pants. Two front pockets, two back pockets, two outer leg pockets, and then a kind of strange front upper thigh pocket. Not bad, especially with cargo pants where you want lots of pockets, but never had pants with a pocket there before. Everything is sewn well, quality appears very good. For sizing, I am 6 feet tall, about 185 pounds. My ideal, tailor measured size is 35 waist and 33 length. Since they don't make those, I usually go up to 36 waist, wear a belt, and go for either 32 or 34 length depending on what shoes I will probably be wearing. For this, got the 36 waist, and is perfectly loose. I will wear a belt. It does have elastic on the sides, so is more of a 36-38. For length, 32 is really long, but I can't say why. Used a tape measure, and measurements compared to other pants are within 1/2 inch, however these wear like a long 34, as opposed to a 32. If you are good with ankle length rather than floor length, you may want to order a size shorter than what you normally wear. But apart from that, they are comfortable, and a really nice pair of pants. Certainly a 5 star product.

THESE…are nice, comfortable and functinoal Cargo Pants with relaxed fit and elastic at the waist for gathering closer to the waist – and not constricting. Material feels thin but sturdy and fits nice but slightly loose for comfort. The normal 2 side pockets and 2 back pockets for men’s pants are present. The rear pockets can be secured with a button to hold down the top flap. There are 3 additional button-pockets all with flap-tops for button closure to make 7 pockets in all for these pants! The top right pocket fastens with a single button. The pockets on each side of the leg fasten with 2 buttons. Each of the 2 side pockets have material folds which allows the pockets to expand and carry larger items that typically would not carry in a standard size pocket. There are belt loops which I recommend using with a belt, if you will be placing items in your pockets – as I said the pants fit a little loose for comfort and won’t hold up well with weighted pockets, but they are stylish. I ordered my size (36W x 32L), and “loose, straight fit” is on the label; they do seem to run a little large in both measurements. As these are 97% cotton and 3% spandex, I’m betting there will be sufficient shrinkage in the first wash. Overall, I am pleased with the order, and recommend as a buy for anyone needing Cargo Pants!

These cargo pants are comfortable and a great alternative to jeans for casual wear. The fit is true to size and they are available in a wide variety of waist and inseam sizes. Material content is 97% cotton and 3% spandex. I like the gray color which to my eye seems like a mixture of gray, olive and khaki. They feel cool and have some stretch. There is a short 2 inch long elastic section sewn into each side of the waistband. The extra front pocket is a handy place to carry a cell phone. Laundry care and potential shrinkage are my only concerns. I have not washed them yet but the care label says hot water, no bleach and no dryer. They may require light ironing too.

These are my new favorite cargo pants, as I head into the season of actually needing extra pocket space as I get around to household projects, yard work, and animal pen repairs outdoors. They're sturdy enough to wear in a work application, at least for a season or two I'm sure, but look nice enough to wear out to the store as well. Not bad.

Very comfortable and almost more slacks than cargo pants. My husband put them on to try them and then didn't take them off for the rest of the day, despite it being a fairly warm day! They're quite a soft material and feel good to the touch. There are three cargo pockets on the right leg and two on the left, the lowest being practically to the knee. They are deep enough to hold a modern cell phone easily. The two standard pant pockets are also very big (you can reach halfway down the leg in them), so all told you've got enough pockets here to overload yourself easily. Don't go weighting yourself down until the pants fall off! You won't have to leave anything behind, at any rate. They fit true to size. We needed a 32/30 and it wasn't available, so we ordered a 34/30 and they are, as expected, a little big around the waist but the length is perfect. The buttons are a little stiff, but not too bad. Stitching is tight, zipper is good and they look quite nice. Decidedly good pants. No complaints!

I ordered these for my son. He has Down Syndrome and is a Powerlifter. It can be difficult to find clothes that are a good fit. Finding these in a 34W x 28L was amazing. I ordered the black because it is his favorite color. They arrived yesterday and he loves them. In black, the pockets aren't really that noticeable, so they just look like a nice pair of casual slacks. The black is nice and dark (it remains to be seen how much they might fade with washing. I also like that there are barely noticeable elastic sides for a little give when his weight fluctuates - or just for comfort. We are very happy with these pants.

There's nothing fancy about the material these Plaid&Plain brand Men's Relaxed Fit Cargo Pants with Extra Front Pocket and Oversized Belt Loops are made with, so you should only expect to get average wear & life expectancy from them. The stitching is OK, the fit is exactly right for the size I ordered, and the knee-level pocket on each leg is significantly larger than those on most other cargo pants. The price ($39.99 at the time this review was written) seems a bit high for an online purchase of fairly ordinary cargo pants but, because these pants have an expandable waistband (which makes wearing a belt optional), this great feature alone probably justifies this higher cost. Also, the waistband expands on both sides instead of from the center of the back, another plus. Try 'em and see for yourself. You may like them and decide you've gotten your money's worth. If not, send 'em back for a refund. 4 stars
