Since I sometimes I have to resort to using my POV for work, I had previously purchased a single warning light for the front and had been planning to add dual lights to the rear for a while when I happened to find this product. They are pretty much identical in appearance and operation as that other manufacturer, with one important exception, that of the method of changing the light pattern. My previous light used a button mounted on the light itself and while that worked easy enough for a front mounted device, it would have been impractical for something attached to the back window. On these lights, both the on/off switch and the pattern changer are on the same plug that attaches to the car's 6-volt socket and makes reaching either one a snap. The cord that the pug is attached to and goes to the lights is of a long enough length to reach the console and back window easily, with some left over. Given the generous distance of the cord, I could really only see these of being of more practical use for the rear of the vehicle, unless one wants to end up with a lot of extra cord to have to place or wrap up somewhere around the dashboard. Though I have found that much like the front light, the sometimes Achille's heel of suction mounted lights are the suction cups themselves and this one proved no exception as it took cleaning the glass, a fair amount of pressure and old-fashioned luck (with some interspersed profanity) to get them to finally stick without falling down and I'm not totally confident time, heat and a few bumps might inevitably work them loose again. Since permanent mounting to the inside roof is not an option, I will have to explore other ways such as sticky tape or glue eventually. I will also have to be working on a better, more unobtrusive way to have the main cord traversing the length of the interior. Though they are kind of bulky compared to other models I've seen and create small blind spots on the rear window (depending on where you put them), it was not unreasonable so and still allowed enough visibility. I think they also might work better on the straight rear windows of trucks as the steep curve of my car made placement a more trial and error challenge. Even with the window tint, the lights themselves are quite bright with the green more visible in the brighter light of day and the amber more at night. Thus, theses colors, in addition to be one of the few I can use, work great in combination so one can have the best of visibility worlds anytime of the day. They can be seen fairly well at a distance. The pattern selection has a memory from the last choice used, which is advantage when one decides on a favorite or most used, especially since it is sometimes hard to judge the look of the selections when they are mounted in the back. Overall, I found these lights a good economical option, especially for rear vehicle use. They are easy to install, for even someone mechanically uninclined such as myself. But also offer options for a more permanent, profession installation for those who have the skill. For cheap, quick option that especially will only occasionally be used, I would recommend them.

The media could not be loaded. Rigged this light up on the boat for use as a public safety light. It was very noticeable at night, and worked well. Make sure you can legally use whatever colors you order.
