I’ve only had these Pit Viper Revlock Safety Glasses for a few days, but they’ve already become my favorite pair of sunglasses. They provide a more refined look than Pit Viper’s usual outlandish aesthetic, but the mirrored blue-green lenses paired with the green frames still display a bit of flair. They’re really comfortable and lightweight, with a snug fit that doesn’t shake loose or feel too tight. The polarized lens clarity is superb, and I really like how they’re color-graded. They have a darker brown tint at the edges which transitions into a lighter grey-green in the center of each lens. I originally got these as glasses for the shooting range. I have another pair of shooting Pit Vipers that I love, but sometimes they have a bit too much personality for the range. The side shields on these Revlocks provide wrap-around protection, and they’re removable by toggling a small switch in the temple. I like their look and feel so much that I’ve been wearing them as my daily sunglasses, and they’re perfect for enduring Central Florida’s sunshine and resulting sweat. When I go to the range, I can just pop the side shields back in for the added protection. When not in use, I just store them in the included Limpcloth microfiber pouch, which also does double-duty as a lens polisher. While the shields are a little finicky to pop out the first time, I was able to slide the switch with my minimal fingernail and remove them by pulling backwards towards the ear pieces. The product description mistakenly notes that these glasses also include E-Spot and Turbo adjustment points. While these adjustments are available on my other Pit Viper frames and allow for customization of temple length and lens tilt, they’re not included on these. Verdict: You’re spending a bit for the Pit Viper name, but in my experience their durability and function rival that of similar high-tier safety/sunglasses, and they look and feel great. These Revlocks particularly excel in their versatility, seamlessly converting from multi-purpose Z87+ wrap-around safety glasses into durable, great-looking polarized sunglasses that stay put. Pros: • Comfortable, snug fit that stays put under workload. • Removable wrap-around side shields. • More traditional appearance than usual Pit Vipers. • Graded lens tinting. Cons: • Logo tax for the Pit Viper name, but quality consistent with high-end safety lenses and sunglasses. • Product description misleading about E-Spot and Turbo adjustment points.

Safety Glasses That Don’t Look Like They Belong in a Science Lab! I’ll be honest—most safety glasses fall into one of two categories: they either look like something you found in a 1970s chemistry classroom, or they make you look like you’re about to operate heavy machinery while simultaneously surrendering all hope of looking cool. These Pit Viper Revlock Safety Glasses are different. First, **the quality is outstanding**. They feel solid, comfortable, and well-built without feeling overly heavy. The side shields are a fantastic addition, providing that extra bit of protection you want when you’re working around flying debris, dust, or anything else that has decided your eyeballs are the target. But let’s talk about the obvious part: **they look GREAT!** Pit Viper somehow managed to make legitimate safety glasses that actually have some personality. They don't just protect your eyes... they make it look like you intentionally chose them. The fit is comfortable, the visibility is excellent, and I really appreciate having the added protection from the side shields without feeling like I'm wearing a pair of medieval battle goggles. Being a retired Army Officer, I’ve owned plenty of safety glasses over the years, and these definitely move toward the top of the list. High-quality protection, comfortable fit, and a look that doesn’t scream “mandatory PPE.” Bottom line: If you need safety glasses that can actually do the job and look good doing it, these are worth the money. Protect your eyes. Look good doing it. And if somebody asks why your safety glasses are cooler than theirs… just smile.

I love these glasses! They're stylish and way more robust than my usual "freebee merch handout" shades that I usually wear. But the key here is that these aren't just snazzy shades, but they're also Z87+ rated safety glasses. As someone with a boatload of power tools, safety glasses are a must. The removable side shields give that extra bit of protection to get that rating, though I gotta say they were a bear to take off the first time. After that, no problem. The glasses fit great, and while I've only dropped them once badly, it looks as if the claim of scratch resistance is true. Which brings us to price. As I alluded to at the top of this review, I adhere to the ZZ Top school of sunglasses - I like 'em cheap, or free. So the list price on these is more than what I'd pay if I didn't get them from Vine. But I know what good sunglasses cost, and if you add up the Z87+ rating, the solid construction and the "damn, don't I look good in these" appearance, yeah, they're worth it. Oh, and I love the Limpcloth microfiber pouch, that protects the glasses when they're not on my face and cleans them when they're dirty. Nice touch.

I’m not entirely sure what it is about the Pit Viper brand, but after doing some research, I found that these safety glasses are definitely priced much higher than many other options. I assume a big part of that comes from the safety rating, materials used, and the added durability they’re designed to provide. While I hope I never have to truly test their impact resistance, protecting your eyes is one of those things where quality can be worth the investment. They also say scratchproof - over time, previous safety glasses we've owned have been prone to scratches. And looking through scratched up glasses isn't fun. Maybe that's it. The side shields are one of my favorite features. Anyone who has ever used a weed eater, mower, or other outdoor equipment knows that somehow a rock or piece of debris can defy all logic and find its way around the side of regular safety glasses. The added protection gives extra peace of mind, and the glasses themselves have a really cool, sleek look. My brother was thrilled with them because they work as both safety glasses and stylish sunglasses, making them practical beyond just a work setting. I can’t say for certain whether they are worth $100 compared to some of the less expensive off-brand options, since the true difference would probably only be proven in the moment of an impact. That being said, if these glasses prevent a serious eye injury from a flying piece of debris, the price would absolutely be worth it. Overall, they feel like a well-made, stylish, and functional piece of protective gear, and I can understand why people are willing to pay more for the added confidence. One other minor but cool thing - the sleeve they come in doubles as a cleaning cloth. I like that efficiency!

A few weeks ago I was at the shooting range and had to leave in a hurry. Unfortunately, I forgot my safety glasses sitting on the bench. I called the range hoping someone had turned them in, but they never showed up, so I was back in the market for a new pair. When I came across these Pit Vipers they looked like a big step up from the inexpensive safety glasses you find at the local hardware store, and after using them I’d definitely agree. They feel extremely well made, the lenses are thick and crystal clear, and they give me a lot more confidence knowing they’re designed to handle much greater impacts than your average pair of safety glasses. I also really like that the side shields are removable. I ended up taking mine off because I prefer the cleaner look without them, but it’s nice having the option to reinstall them whenever I want the extra protection. Another feature I really appreciate is how adjustable they are. The arms extend to different lengths, and the lenses can be tilted to better fit different face shapes, making it easy to dial in a comfortable fit. They honestly feel so solid that I doubt accidentally sitting on them would snap or bend them the way cheaper glasses often do. The price is definitely on the high side, but if you spend a lot of time at the range or simply want a pair of sunglasses that also doubles as serious eye protection, I think they’re worth the investment. They look great, fit great, and most importantly, they protect your eyes. Always wear eye protection whenever you’re shooting.

These are my second pair of Pit Viper glasses, the others being the originals. These are a lot better suited for public use as the others just look like ski or shooting glasses, while these are low profile and pass as normal stylish glasses without the side shields. I removed the side shield immediately, opting for a normal sunglass look. I don't wear these as safety glasses but as my everyday wear, as I always hated the idea of cheap sunglasses breaking or shattering in an accident, whether in a vehicle or doing anything else. These give me the peace of mind that comes with knowing I'm protected and don't look like I'm larping everywhere I go. They are made well, sit comfortably on my face, and I haven't had any issues yet with fog or scratches. The side shields are difficult to get off at first but not terrible. Overall, I have no idea why they're so expensive but apparently the brand comes with a reputation for quality protective eyewear, so I am happy to have them! I'll probably cry when they have to get retired, but they seem durable enough to provide a long time of use.

Let me start off by saying I do like the original oversized style of normal Pit Vipers. However, these glasses are a better fit for when you are wearing a hat or a hard hat as they don't curve up into the forehead. My favorite feature that I "tested" pretty much immediately is the scratch resistance; first day getting out of the truck I forgot they were on my lap and they came crashing down on the rough asphalt, but to my surprise and delight not a scratch, chip, or any kind of marking. That's pretty impressive, I think that by itself relays the quality and value of these glasses. Not to mention they are ANSI certified so I can wear them for work, leasure and everything in between. I think this is the first pair of safety glasses where I actually like the appearance the side shields, functional without being awkwardly oversized while still looking tight. I don't have any real critiques, maybe a word of advice; it's probably a good idea to remove the side shields while driving, the blurriness of the lense combined with fast moving perifreal objects is slightly distracting. Overall great sunglasses that double as safety glasses... And can be put to the test.

These are high-quality sunglasses which, uniquely, have removable side shields on them. You can flip an unlocking switch and remove the side shield if you wish. It's cool and not just a gimmick. Otherwise, these are tough plastic in construction, with a nice amber-gray tinting. The outside of the lens is mirrored blue and looks pretty sharp. I have a larger-than-average head at 23.5" around, but these still fit me well. They are comfortable to wear and noticeably reduce eyestrain both inside and out (not that you have to wear sunglasses inside, but my point is that they are good quality and even help with indoor lighting being more tolerable to the eyes.) They come in the usual (for this brand) hilarious box, too! Also included is a bag which doubles as a lens cleaner. Zero complaints from my end!
