I live in a rural area and unfortunately with feeding some wild birds in the area I have had an increase in rats. The wife loves the birds so not feeding them is not in the cards and the owls have been negligent in their rat killing duties. So, this green / red dot scope now sits atop my .22 airgun. It did not take much to sight this in (I have sighted it in for a relatively close in 75 feet) and now I can get a very quick sight picture on a rat and dispatch it with haste. I am pleased with the clarity of the optics so far and the ease of mounting it on my airgun.     • Very usable inside of 100 yd
Like any 4 MOA red dot, this is not the thing to be using for bullseye shooting at 100 yd or beyond. Most people will be able to achieve good accuracy at 25 to 50 yards and practical accuracy at 100 yds. It is very easy to sight through, light weight compared to a magnifying optic, and provides a lot of value for the money. Coming with an attached rail mount is even better. This thing is so cheap that if you are even curious about whether you like a red dot on a rifle or not, just buy it. So far I only have about 75 rounds experience with the scope on an AR15 and I think that I'll keep the rifle configured this way. What I didn't like was that there is no marking on the windage or elevation dials, and the manual does not say how much 1 click adjustment moves the point of aim. Instead it says to look at the dial on the scope. I have not checked if the red dot and green dot shoot to the same point of aim. Also I have not done any kind of mechanical stress test. (Check YouTube for that.) Follow-up: I wanted some magnification for shooting at 100yds and more, so took this off the AR and put it on a Ruger 10/22 target lite. That's a better match for this red dot, but still limiting for the rifle. There hasn't been any problem holding zero and it as easy as could be to use. Just remember to turn the illumination off when finished. Previous comment about dials not having any marking is still worth noting. Also, click stops are rather crude so it may not be possible to find a click that is right on the X, if you are target shooting and wanting to be precise about your point of aim. My guess is that each clicks is about 1" at 100 yards ... show more

So far it looks good. I've purchased these before and they hold up well with my 9mm's so I'm assuming this one will too, if not I will exchange for another one. That's why I only buy from Amazon, can't beat there return service...... Well I went to the range and it was Beyond Easy to sight in at 25 yards and it held true with 15 rounds of 9mm, then I took it off the gun and put it back on and ran another 15 rounds ALL in the same group. I have one of these on my S&W FPC and it works just as good, so why pay the big bucks when you can buy one of these. OH and they last for like ever....... ... show more

Update: upon reviewing my review here, the company reached out to me to assist in doing anything they could to make it right and did. Sometimes products are defective, but if the company stands behind their product and will do what it takes to make it right, then one can definitely buy with confidence. Original review: I mounted this to a RWS Diana LP8 and was able to zero this optic in with little effort. It did seem to hold its zero on that pistol well, but it is just an air gun so it’s not like it was getting much abuse. It mounted easily and I like the way it looked. Once I started using it, I noticed the dot would flicker and sometimes just turn off. I could get the dot to come back on by charging the brightness. I figured maybe just maybe it might be a bad battery I was sent with it. I replaced it with a brand new battery and got the same results instantly. I just installed and bore sighted. Not sure how it will hold up . Because of the dot being a 4MOA (which somehow I failed to notice before ordering ) I put it on a Heritage Tactical revolver and it doesn't look good on it at all , however being ugly won't effect the performance of it. I like the glass, it's very clear , but the adjustments have to be made with a flat head screwdriver. For the price I think it will be fine , I just reccomend a standard reflex sight for the looks . ... show more
