The first thing I noticed about this scope was the fact that the “Assembled In The USA” logo is crooked (see photo) so right away I was skeptical. However, the next thing I noticed was that it’s pretty well made with quality materials and includes a battery (for the recticle lighting and color adjustments), rail mounts, a microfiber wipe, and an instruction pamphlet…a very tiny instruction pamphlet that’s not actually for this specific scope (it’s basically just for this general line of scopes). That said, if you’re at all familiar with this type of rifle scope, you’ll have no problems figuring out how to install the battery (under the screw top of the recticle dial), mount it according to your rifle’s mounting options (other adapters may be necessary), and make adjustments. If you’re a beginner, good luck…they don’t offer much in the way of instructions and you may need to use a magnifying glass (or the scope itself) to read the tiny print of the minimal, generalized instructions they do provide. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a pretty nice scope and I look forward to trying it out in the field, but I definitely expected more from a brand with a solid reputation like Pinty. ... show more

I really wanted to like this scope. The fact that it has selectable illumination on the reticle, both brightness and color, is a nice touch. It's nice that it comes with tall enough rings, as I've had problems in the past with other scopes including mounting rings that were far too short. The knob to adjust magnification moves smoothly. But, despite all the touting of all of the high-quality USA assembly of the scope, the knob to select the illumination setting is VERY noticeably crooked in relation to the windage and elevation adjustment knobs, which really gives it the appearance of being a cheap piece of junk, and it sticks out like a sore thumb when mounted. ... show more

    • Well made scope, difficult to install battery
First of I have to say that I love the image in the scope. Bright, clear and adjustable color sight. The real issue is when I went to install the battery. Try as I might I could not loosen the cap. After several failed attempts I resorted to putting it in a vice and used a pair of channel locks to loosen the cap. When it finely came loose , there was a pop and I was afraid I had broken something. Think it was the o ring had glued its self in place. Also the magnification adjustment is very stiff. Other than those issues I like the scope. Got it to install on my pcp rifle. ... show more

This is a pretty bad scope, but this is coming from a quasi scope snob. The illumination totally blows out sight picture. I didn't even try to do a ghetto tracing test. The reticle makes no sense whatsoever. I guess if you absolutely could not afford a scope this might get you by, if you manage to get sighted in. Or, maybe this scope is better reserved for airsoft. Save the headaches and use iron sights or save up for a $100 scope from a reputable company like Sig or Bushnell. Buy once, cry once. ... show more

This is a very good budget friendly scope. The red or green illuminated rangefinding reticle is clear and easy to see and has 5 brightness levels to choose from. The 40mm lenses are multi-coated and the tube is hermetically sealed and nitrogen filled. It's waterproof, fogproof and shockproof. Scope comes with mount rings. I would personally recommend using this on airsoft, paintball or 22LR r!fle's. ... show more
