I bought this kit for my daughter who saw a friend with tinsel in their hair and just had to have some herself. The kit comes with everything needed. It’s very easy to use, but if a little help is needed you can find dozens of videos on YouTube on how to attach to hair. My daughter wanted only just a hint of tinsel so we added only six strands to each bead. The bead that you clamp with the pliers holds the tinsel in place. She has had these in for almost 3 weeks. It has held up through washing, brushing, the pool and swimming in the ocean. The kit comes with so much tinsel so it will last you a long time. To remove you simply use the pliers to open up the bead and remove from the hair. This would be a perfect activity for a slumber party. My 12 year old has added tinsel to her friends hair with no trouble at all. I would definitely recommend this product and seller!!

I really love the colours and you get quite a lot for the money.These are easy to use. It came with so many that I have been sharing them with lots of friends and family. We all learned quickly how to use them from a 3-minute YouTube tutorial. They hold up to washing and even curling irons. You may need to buy more clamps which is what keeps them in so long. The clamps were very affordable too.

The hair tinsel kit really didn't come with instructions. I found some online instructions and watched a few video clips. I used the method of the crochet hook and then crimping the little ring closed. It really does take a bit to get the hang of it. How many layers deep should you put the tinsel so it shows, but isn't on the top of the hair? How high up the shaft to crimp the tinsel? How many strands of tinsel so it looks natural? You have to find these answers out as you try the tinsel and find what works for your hair. My daughter really liked the tinsel and we had fun giggling as I tried my best to master putting in the tinsel. It would be a fun thing to do at a slumber party. I'm not sure how easy it would be to put the tinsel in your own hair, but it's easy enough to put in someone else's hair after you get the hang of it.
