It melts all right for about 3 seconds, then it gets hard and in lumps. You will have to add a lottt..... of smell if you want it to smell good. It does not do bubbles but it does leave your skin soft.

Once the soap has been melted and poured. It turns into the consistency of hard plastic. No lather at all, you may as well use no soap if you’re gonna use this.

This base has a weird fishy smell and burns my skin. My hands got red and itchy, like some kind of allergic reaction, which I’ve literally never had before. Completely unsafe. Throwing away and avoiding this brand forever!
