This review is for the following item: PHS Furniture Sliders for Carpet and Other Floor Surfaces - Furniture Moving Straps for Heavy Cabinets, Dressers, Tables, and More - Large - (Pack of 8) It cost $20.99 when I ordered it. These are a nice large size (9 1/2" x 5 3/4"), and you get eight of them in the pack. They can be used with many different sizes of furniture, and I like that they handle the weight easily for most items. Some of my older furniture is very heavy and doesn’t have wide bases or proper feet—just those small old-style wheels that were meant for wooden floors. My house has mostly been carpeted, and those little wheels completely lose the battle when trying to move anything on carpet. By sliding one of these movers under the wheel, the whole piece suddenly moves like it’s filled with helium instead of feeling like the leg or wheel might break off. I like the larger size because even with a smaller leg or wheel it doesn’t slide off, and it distributes the weight well. They are very well made and feel sturdy, with no bending or breaking. They’re advertised for use on carpet, tile, and wood. Before moving my cedar chest across laminate flooring, I made sure the area was completely clean. I can easily imagine a small piece of gravel or debris getting under one of these sliders and scratching the floor. Once everything was clean, though, they worked like a charm and slid very easily on the laminate. There were no scratches or slide marks—they really move well and help protect the floor surface. One tip: it’s best to do this as a team effort. One person can tip the furniture while the other slides the pad underneath and positions it correctly. I used to be able to manage things like this on my own, but I’ve learned it’s a lot easier on the back with a second set of hands. Overall, these are very useful and make moving heavy furniture much easier. Plus, the price is very reasonable for a pack of eight at this size. ... show more

  • Larger than normal without being an expensive set Larger than normal without being an expensive set
As someone who has installed flooring for 28 years now meaning I often have to move furniture. I seriously owe a beer to whoever it was who invented these wonderful things. They can be not only game changers when it comes to moving things, they can often be necessary so as not to scratch flooring that is brand new no less. As these ones go they're larger than normal. Shown is them next to the other sets I've gotten over the years. Being large makes them a lot easier to stay in place. Moving furniture is already a pain. No reason to add in having to stop to put sliders back under a corner. Aside for the size though there isn't anything that sets them apart from any others I've used. If you've used them before you already know what to expect. Also shown though is I didn't actually get these for furniture. Not normal furniture anyways. What I got them for is to help move around a DIY bed backrest I made for my PC gaming/man cave/guest bedroom. I've put a decent 7.1.4 surround sound system in that room and the latest addition to that is tactile transducers. AKA bass shakers. What they do is right in the term. They shake. They can simulate a good subwoofers ability to produce sound waves that can physically cause vibrations you can feel. But they do it without the need for sound waves. Making them good for apartments or late at night or what have you when you still want that subwoofer feeling, but don't want to bother anyone to get it. They're common in racing and aircraft simulation rigs and under the seats in countless chairs and couches in home and actual theaters. The backrest has 4 Dayton Audio 16 ohm Pucks. 2 in the back and 1 in each armrest. And a single Dayton Audio BST-2 in the backrest. My first version was just the 4 Pucks embedded into a solid foam backrest. But foam isn't a very good medium for vibrations to travel through so I made a new one with an actual frame from an old ergonomic shaped high back backrest for office chairs. The results have been amazing. lol No, no, AMAZING! When Godzilla comes stomping into the scene he's stomping INTO the room now. 😄Seriously the immersion shakers can add when it comes to games TV/movies with properly mixed bass is incredible. If you're reading this and ever considered trying them you seriously should. Anyways, despite liking the results so much, the issue is it's now quite heavy. As something like a backrest goes anyways. I didn't bother to weigh it but I'd guess it's around 10-15 pounds. So I need to be able to drag it off the bed without taking half the bed with it. 3 of these have worked out perfectly. Which also leaves me with a set of 4 for work. So I have no complaints here. I've already recommended them to coworkers because of their nice size. ... show more

  • Nice large surface
Nice big surface so it is easy to fit any size furniture foot on the slider. Worked great to slide furniture out of the room so the carpet could be shampooed. Also the large surface did better weight distribution so it worked better.

  • Has made my life much easier Has made my life much easier
Large Furniture sliders pack of 8 I am always moving my furniture around and hate having to empty my dresser and struggling to move it across the carpeted floor. These sliders have made my rearranging much easier, quicker and pain free The part that sits on floor is a smooth flexible plastic, while the top side (where furniture sits) is a nice sturdy cushioned foam, just place one at each corner and slide across carpet with ease and with no pulling, tearing or destroying your carpet ... show more

  • Slide anything Slide anything
These LARGE furniture sliders are the best ones I have used for moving heavy and large size items. These sliders will move anything easily, are very durable, and I like the "over-sized" sliders because they work so well. They will slide on carpet or tile, no problem. Very good value overall.

  • Large sliders for large furniture
Yep, these sure are huge! If you’ve only used sliders for putting under a chair or small table, these will definitely strike you as giant. But if you want to move a large, heavy piece of furniture, they are just the ticket. In my case, it’s very handy that 8 sliders were provided: I have placed 4 of them under a large storage unit that I want to move for periodic vacuuming, so I’ll simply leave those sliders in place. They worked just as expected, enabling me to easily move storage unit. The other 4 sliders will remain available for any ad hoc furniture-moving occasions. They come packaged in a plain plastic bag with no instructions for using them. So if you don’t have experience with furniture sliders, just be cautious as you put them in place. I make sure to remove any fragile items from shelves, and then tilt each corner of the furniture just enough to slide the slider underneath. Depending on the weight of the furniture, I can often tilt it on my own, and use my foot to position the slider into place. Sometimes I need assistance. I noticed the listing mentioned you can use the sliders on “multiple floor types” and then gave examples of carpet, tile and hardwood. They made no mention of how a laminate flooring would hold up, so I would proceed with caution if that’s what you have. ... show more

  • Amazing Help for Moving Furniture! Amazing Help for Moving Furniture!
This pack of furniture sliders is a total game-changer! It comes well-equipped with 8 sliders, which was perfect for moving my large couch. I’m on the smaller side and usually struggle with heavy items, but as soon as I placed these under each corner, the couch glided effortlessly across my tile floor. No scratches, no strain—just smooth and easy movement. I highly recommend these for anyone looking to move furniture without the hassle. So worth it! ... show more

  • Likely Great for Carpet, But Not for Hard Floors Likely Great for Carpet, But Not for Hard Floors
I was really hopeful about these large furniture sliders since they seemed like the perfect size for my heavy solid wood dining furniture. Unfortunately, after trying them on my hardwood floors, I was disappointed. The description suggests they work on multiple surfaces, but in reality, one side is hard plastic and the other is rubber (for the furniture legs). The plastic side would definitely scratch hardwood, so I couldn’t use them as intended. I don’t have carpet in my home, but I can see how they’d be useful for sliding heavy pieces across carpeted floors. They’re generously sized and feel sturdy, so on the right surface they’d probably work very well. For hardwood, tile, or laminate though, they just don’t seem like a safe option. Overall, the description is misleading. ... show more
