  • Seems great
Size: Medium Color: Black
I only had the chance to use this three times before my dog passed away. He had no function in his back legs so I used a rear-end harness to hold his legs up for our daily (4x) walks for the past year. Then his front legs began to weaken and his legs would spread on slippery surfaces and would sometimes collapse when walking on grass. Watching your dog face-plant is sad. Helping hold his front end up with a collar and leash put more pressure on his neck than seemed good. I first tried a mid-body harness but that didn't help his front end enough, maybe because of spine weakness. So I chose this front-end harness and it was fantastic. The purpose for it was not to lift him, but just to lighten the load on his front legs while walking. It worked wonderfully, in conjunction with the rear end harness. It is well constructed and stout. Getting the strap lengths right was important for a snug fit. It's a bit challenging to hold up a front and rear harness at the same time (requires both hands), but boy did it make for a comfortable and safe walk for my 14 year old pup in his very last days. ... show more

  • Exquisite design, tough, and firm! Attitude change. 1 Month In-Depth Update
Size: S Color: Purple
I bought this to change out my dog's collar, and she's still iffy about it, but not so much than the collar! She's actually improved from the collar; with a little coaxing, I can get the harness on & clip it secure! Huge difference between collar/harness! Collar: more pulling, bad neck posture, rushed walk. Harness: less pulling, energetic, relaxed/natural posture! Great design for any potential biters & definitely great quality you can feel! Would recommend to any dogs that hate collars like mine, it's an improvement! However, it looks like it was designed for colder days than warmer, but give it a try, maybe yours will like it? She's transitioning from disliking walks -> liking. 08/19/2023: Hi guys! Back with an update! She has not changed much, still dislikes walking, except that if you can desensitize/train/coax her, she will enjoy it more! We have completely switched to the harness! She is visible at night with ample lighting and her personality has changed little by little. Still dislikes having the harness put over her head, but she will sometimes allow you to clip on the side clips without much effort. With time, I can see her walking with confidence. She enjoys the nighttime walks when no/little cars are present & its cooler on us. She's definitely exploring and scenting like she used to as a pup. Now that she is going on 7y/o in October, I hope she will live a long life + be much healthier! Would recommend, so much easier on the dogs + seniors. I will start running with her on the last stretch so she gets ample energy out on shorter walks. ... show more

  • Not for every dog
Size: Medium Color: Orange
Ty is 16. Has some trouble getting into car. The handle on this allows you to give that extra oomph for him to jump into our van. He is also hesitant about going down stairs and just holding handle makes him feel secure. He has become a bit crotchety like an old man lately. I believe he is hard of hearing now. He is frightened easily. You have to let him see you before you pet or he might turn and snap in fright. He’s just getting old. We live in the country so he is let out to do his business. Sometimes he likes to ant and sniff the air. At night I can just use a flashlight and the reflective vest shines He sometimes puts a leg thru the upper part. The last harness I had, I had to cut him free. This one has a latch. The other day he did a whammy. Wedged his leg in that space. Cried until I set him free! What I don’t like. He cannot bend his head down easily to eat. I have to hold bowl at head level. ... show more

  • Great Fit, Well Made, Easy to Put On and take Off
Size: Medium Color: Purple
We tried 6 or 7 harnesses and settled on this one. We have a 35 pound Australian Cobberdog whose hair can grow long between grooming. It is easy to put on and take off and feels like it is well made with high quality materials. The ring on the front is easy to grab and hook and the handle on the top is convenient for gentle guidance when you need it. It does not have a ring on the front that pulls to the center like some of the other no-pull collars but we still liked this one the most for our dog. ... show more

  • A good fit but didn't last; however...
Size: L Color: Baby Blue
Update: My initial rating was 3 stars; however, after the harness described below broke, Phoepet customer service contacted me and offered a free harness of a different style. I gladly accepted their generous offer, and the new harness is the best that my dog has worn. It features one buckle on the neck, which seems to distribute the force differently and helps prevent the neck buckle from breaking. My dog is much happier with this design than the "pull over the head" model that I bought from a different company. It has two buckles on the chest strap, which have held up very well for the month that my husky has been wearing it. The large size for my dog fit great, and we are both very pleased with this harness. Original 3-star review of four buckle harness: I wanted a harness for my husky and this harness worked well for about 2 months. It fit her nicely after I adjusted the straps, and it was convenient for walking her using the leash hoop on the top of the harness. The leash hoop is made of metal and is sewn in very tightly and securely. The buckles, however, for the straps are made of plastic. First one of the forward buckles cracked when she lunged to chase a squirrel a few weeks after I got it. About a month after that, one of the back buckles also cracked and more of the broken front buckle, which had been weak but would still buckle, broke off. After that, the front buckle wouldn't stay clipped, and the halter became unsafe to use. As a result, I have decided a slip over the head halter with rear buckles would probably be more suitable for my dog. ... show more

  • It's a dog harness, that's for sure.
Size: Medium Color: Red
Firstly, the sizes are a little smaller than I thought. That's in me, I didn't measure my dog and took a guess but he's a mostly black hound so of course he's a little bigger. Otherwise it's been pretty awesome. There's things to put the leash on on the top and in the front. When they said it's got reflective threading they did not joke. Old couple down the street thought they'd died and were following the light. My pup thinks it's comfy and likes to model in front of the mirror wearing it. ... show more

  • Bought smallest one for labradoodle puppy, 11 lbs.
Size: XL Color: Orange
Was able to use it until max size expansions until he was 65 lbs 8 mos later. He slipped out only once when he was really little by slithering backwards as I held harness. He's lanky. I purchased same orange in xl when he reached 65 lbs. In smallest positions, it works great and room for growing and expanding adjusters. It's strong, has a handle like a suitcase, and d rings at chest and shoulder blade positions. Def recommended! ... show more

  • This one is the one as you can make the neck tighter to avoid your dog slipping out
Size: L Color: Orange
This is the one to get if you are worried about a harness slipping off as you can tighten the neck portion much tighter than you can on a traditional harness since you you don't have to put it over the dog's head. I measured my dog and went off the chart and it fits perfectly after some minor adjustments. The build quality seems to be good and the only complaint I have is very minor but there is no tabs or places to put the excess after adjustment. Again this is a very good harness as you can make the neck tighter than you can on other harnesses so you are way less likely to have your dog slip out as it wouldn't be able to go over their heads. ... show more
