Instead of paying many times over for an OEM filter, you should just buy a few of these and replace them more often. They fit the same as OEM and filter just fine for way less money. Pro tip: add a few drops of your favorite essential oil before installing instead of buying one of those terrible air freshers. Note: This is a review for a cabin air filter. Amazon seems to have changed the item in their system to an air compressor. Weird. ... show more

This PHILTOP Cabin Air Filter fit and worked inside my 2007 Toyota Corolla perfectly! After installation, I was able to use standard HVAC functions providing heat and defrosting the windshield. The defrost function worked perfectly, which is the primary reason to change out the cabin air filter to maintain visibility. And air quality from the vents appeared normal. The filter appears to made of sturdy material and appeared to be thicker than my previous, name brand air filter, so I expect it to last until I need another one. Installation is simple as any other air filter, just swap out the old one with the new one. It comes with instructions, however these are limited to making sure you properly orient the air filter with the printed air flow markings on the filter. I suggest referring the vehicle’s owner’s manual and/or online videos if you’re not sure how to do it. ... show more

Not sure when and why this order changed to saying it was for a compressor, but what I ordered and received was a cabin air filter that fits perfectly in my 2006 Corolla and was easy to install with a little help from Youtube. The price ($14.99 as of my order) is a little high for a third-party brand but not as expensive as what my mechanic charges, and the construction seems solid. No smell or noticeable change to the airflow in my car, so I'd be glad to order more when the time comes. ... show more

    • Easy-fitting cabin filter that freshens Corolla/Matrix air in about 5-10 minutes.
Fits my 2005 Corolla just fine and honestly one of the easier little maintenance jobs I’ve done on it. Swapping the cabin filter took maybe 5-10 minutes behind the glove box, and this one slid right into the same tray without fighting it, so the sizing is spot on for the 2002–2008 Corolla/Matrix style setup (please check your fitting first). After installing it, the air from the vents smells a lot fresher and less “old car dust,” and it seems to catch more fine debris and pollen than the worn-out filter that was in there. The activated carbon layer (fancy stuff I guess) is a nice touch for cutting down on outside smells, especially sitting in traffic or following diesel trucks, though it’s not magic—strong odors still get through, just less intense. The pleats look uniform and the overall build feels decent, not as heavy as some name-brand OEM filters but not paper-thin either. For anyone used to doing oil changes or wiper blades, this is about that level of difficulty and a good DIY job to improve cabin air once a year or around 12k-20k miles.
