I ordered the Philips Sonicare Teeth Whitening Gel Syringes to use with whitening trays I already owned, rather than the Philips Sonicare moldable trays. The syringes were easy to use and dispensed smoothly into my existing trays without any issues. That said, one important thing to note is that this gel contains 6% hydrogen peroxide. In my personal experience, that concentration does not make a significant difference in tooth whitening compared to higher-percentage gels I’ve used before. While it may be a gentler option for people concerned about sensitivity, I did not see dramatic whitening results. Another consideration is price. You can purchase whitening gel syringes with a higher percentage of hydrogen peroxide for a much lower cost from other brands. If you’re looking for stronger or faster results, there may be more cost-effective options available. Overall, this product may be a good fit if you prefer a well-known brand and a milder formula, but if maximum whitening power and value are your priorities, you may want to compare concentrations and pricing before purchasing. ... show more

Full disclosure: I don’t own a Philips Sonicare Teeth Whitening system, I use trays made by my dentist. And I regularly whiten my teeth with either the dentist-provided gel or inexpensive gel bought online. Therefore, I was eager to try some actual name-brand whitening gel to see how it compares to what I’ve been using. However, my teeth weren’t nearly as stained as they can get, since I had recently done a few days of whitening and just had a tooth cleaning at the dentist. That said, my main concern was gum irritation since some gels I get really hurt. I experienced no irritation at all with these refills. Also, the instructions were helpful in how much to use—I may have been using too much with my old refills. The mixing tubes worked great. I’ve often had gel tubes that jam or where the gel comes out too fast. No issues at all with these. Although I only did treatment for 2 days, there was an improvement in whiteness. I will need to try them again once my normal stains come back (black tea and red wine aren’t great for white teeth) and will update if I find these don’t work on teeth that are more stained, but I have no reason to expect any issues. ... show more

I ordered this set of Philips Sonicare Teeth Whitening Gel Syringes along with the Philips Sonicare teeth whitening system. The refill set comes with three syringes, each with enough gel for three treatments, along with explanatory and training materials, including a tooth color chart (none of those colors match my teeth!) which are redundant if you already have the kit. The protocol: uncap the syringe, replace the cap with the application tip, and carefully squeeze the appropriate amount of gel into the mouth trays. This is where I faltered the first time: after I added enough gel to cover both trays, I realized I'd used 2/3 of the syringe. I am now better calibrated. Good news: the gel works! Every time I do a treatment, I can see the difference, with coffee/chocolate stains fading. My teeth aren't sensitive, but I have experienced no pain or irritation from the gel. It's even got a pleasant taste of cloves, although (in accordance with instructions) I try to keep as much gel as possible on my teeth and away from the rest of my mouth. The gel should work with other mouth trays, but I'm happy I'm using the Philips trays as I'm aiming for optimal results. ... show more

    • Whitened my teeth.
So I got the whitening kit that comes with three syringes and the trays and after using that one there's definitely a noticeable whitening to my teeth. However, I wanted to get my teeth a shade or two whiter so I got this extra kit and it made a big difference. You just have to make sure and get the liquid fully on your teeth though because if you don't you'll have some spots that are whiter than others. That only happened with some of the teeth further back and so it's not noticeable. I would say that my teeth are a little bit more sensitive than they were before but not by much. And honestly it seems like the sensitivity in my teeth change fairly often anyways so I can't definitely say it was this stuff that caused it. For the money though I'm pretty pleased since I didn't have to go into a dentist and could just do it from home. Yeah it's not a whole lot of fun walking around with these in your mouth for 30 minutes, but again, I didn't have to go into the dentist... ... show more

    • Nice, but not very strong
If you are sensitive to teeth bleaching, this might be the one for you, as it's only 6% hydrogen peroxide. For comparison, I usually use a 30% hydrogen peroxide bleach, as the results are much more dramatic that way. You won't get fast whitening with this one, but if you use it consistently, you can eventually get the results you want. It has a mint taste to it. One thing I noticed is it is not quite as thick as others -- a little more malleable -- thick enough to stay in place, but not too thick so that it actually flows where you want it, so that is really nice, actually. For the price, it's decent, but it will be more expensive to get drastic results with this percentage hydrogen peroxide. ... show more

I wanted to whiten my teeth a little before having a dental implant color-matched, but I didn't want the expense of professional whitening. This product did the trick. The instructions included with the gel syringes are simple. Whitening trays are not included, but I had custom trays from a prior whitening. I added small drops of gel for each tooth and fitted the tray onto my teeth, avoiding the gums to reduce possible sensitivity. After 30 minutes I removed the trays, rinsed them, and gently brushed the remaining gel off my teeth. I thought I saw a slight difference after the first application, which might have been my imagination. By the sixth application I had the much improved natural look I wanted, so I stopped there and saved the third syringe for future use. I'm pleased with the product and the result. ... show more
