Update: We've had this giraffe for a year now and it's my 15-month-old's absolute favorite thing. She's very attached to it, has learned the word "raffe," and I intend to buy her a second one before sending her off to daycare soon since she sleeps with it at every nap and bedtime. It doesn't hold onto pacifiers very well anymore, so if she still wanted to use them that might be a downside. Thought I think the decreased grip mostly comes from her pulling pacifiers out and chewing on the rubber attachment instead. Not really an issue for us though, since she tends to prefer her thumb for sucking needs at this point. ----- After a gifted Wubbanub we received for baby was immediately stolen and destroyed by our dog... I was on the hunt for something that might replace it and I think ended up being a way better option for us. We have a small collection of pacifiers and it’s easy to pop them in and out of this to clean them separately. We haven’t been using any clips, but this helps us keep pacifiers off the floor. It’s much easier to catch if it does fall and if it ends up on the ground, things won’t bounce into some abyss under your couch! Our baby uses this while falling asleep and it’s easy to detach from the pacifier while rocking so that there’s no stuffed animals in the crib with them. I think as baby grows, this will be a great toy (and tool) to grow with them. The only time I don’t love it is in the car seat. When baby was smaller, it sat between their chest and knees with easy. They’re a little taller now, so the can pull the pacifier down. As baby gets bigger, I think they’ll be able to hold onto the toy or we may add a clip into the mix for car rides. Pros: Easy to clean Easy to attach and detach Can be used with harder pacifiers when baby’s too old for newborn ones Can use with several types of pacifiers Can be used as just a lovey when baby outgrows the pacifier Con: Can pull away from 4 month old baby in the car seat

My baby’s still a little too young to hold onto this while using the pacifier, but I think in a few weeks or so it’ll be perfect. The doll itself is adorable, and it’s super easy to detach and reattach to the Soothie pacifier. Basically just waiting for baby to grow into it—until then, it’s just a cute passenger.

As a parent, these make keeping track of the pacifier a little easier. Pacifier quality is just like the smoothies that you get in the store. The only negative that we could come up with is the weight is a little much for our newborn and it does occasionally fall out of their mouth. So I lost the first one on a trip to the River Walk, and well, my daughter was upset because she loves this elephant. It's her best friend for many reasons. It's easy for her to hold, fits in her little hands, and the quality is excellent. We wash it every week, and it's very durable. She can't live without it at the age of 8 months because she is teething. She doesn't use the pacifier part anymore; she chews on the elephant and sleeps with it. I will have to buy a third one just in case for our next trip.
