Made from premium borosilicate glass, a BPA-free material, the bottles are heat and thermal shock resistant, so they can be stored in the fridge, warmed, washed and sterilized. The ergonomic bottle is easy to hold, with few parts and a wide neck for filling and cleaning. Silicone sleeves protect the bottles, improve grip and leave the scale visible during feeds. The set includes slow Flow 2 and medium Flow 3 nipples; age is a guide, while baby's drinking approach and feeding cues help determine when to change flow. My baby is 8 months old, and we recently switched from Dr. Brown’s bottles to these Philips Avent glass ones. The Dr. Brown’s worked well but had too many small parts to wash and assemble, which became frustrating. These Avent bottles are so much easier to clean—just a few parts, and they’re dishwasher safe. The natural response nipple feels comfortable for my baby, and she had no trouble adjusting to it. The glass is sturdy, and I feel good knowing it’s a safer option. These are hands down my favorite bottles. I finally made the switch from plastic bottles & they are amazing quality & you get your moneys worth! They are a bit heavy but my 1 year old can hold them easily, the nipple shape is perfect it’s just like the other advent bottles!

    • Great sturdy glass bottles

I love these bottles. It was important to me that we used glass bottles instead of plastic bottles and I was having a surprisingly hard time finding glass bottles in general, let alone ones that were reasonably priced. These fit the bill. The I started with the mixed size pack and as our baby started increasing her milk intake we repurchased the pack with just the 8oz bottles. My baby took the bottle right away and switches from breastfeeding to bottle feeding very easily, she hasn’t had any nipple confusion. I will say I’ve heard the slope on the nipple on these isn’t ideal for breastfed babies but when I tried switching the nipple to the lansinoh nipples the nipple was much too loose and leaked milk. Ive heard these are also compatiable with the evenflo wide neck nipples but I ended up just sticking with this brand of nipple because as I said my baby hasn’t had an issue with it. I will say that my baby likes to hold her bottles now while she eats and obviously the glass bottle is a bit heavier so she still needs support but the curve of the bottle makes holding the bottle easier for her and myself. I’ve also dropped these a couple of times and have had no issue with them breaking. Overall I’d highly recommend these if you’re looking for a reasonably priced glass bottle option. ... show more

    • Great Glass Bottle, But Be Ready for Some Leaks

The media could not be loaded. I really appreciate that this bottle is made of glass — that was a must for me. I personally prefer glass over plastic, especially since we warm my baby's milk and I want to avoid any chemical leaching. The bottle feels sturdy, easy to clean, and heats up well without retaining odors or stains like plastic sometimes does. That said, I’ve had a few frustrating moments — it sometimes leaks, and I still can’t figure out exactly why. It might be related to the milk being too hot or how tightly the parts are screwed together, but when it leaks at 2AM during a night feed… not fun. It doesn’t happen every time, but when it does, it’s messy. Still, I love the safety and quality of glass. If Philips can fix the occasional leak issue, it would be perfect. For now, I just double-check every seal and angle before feeding. ... show more
