Description

Philips Avent Natural baby bottle is the most natural way to bottle feed. The wide breast-shaped nipple on the Natural bottle promotes a natural latch-on so you can easily combine breastfeeding and bottle feeding. The ultra soft nipple mimics the feel of the breast. Our flexible spiral design combined with the comfort petals allow for a natural movement while baby feeds. The bottles have unique Airflex valve technology integrated into the nipple which is designed to reduce colic and discomfort by venting air away from your baby's tummy. The ergonomic shape makes it comfortable for parents to hold and easy for small fingers to grasp. Assembly is simple with only a few parts and the wide bottle neck makes filling and cleaning easy. Reasons to buy this bottle! 1. Love the variable flow nipple design and functionality. We can use it to feed just milk, or milk with some baby cereal mixed in. 2. Three parts, super easy to clean, the nipple are durable 3. Unlike the comotomo bottles the flat plastic bottom keeps it from rolling around and falling off of surfaces 4. Unlike a few other bottles we have, the markings on the side are dark so in low light feedings you can see how much the baby has had much more easily 5. Curved design is easy to hold 6. Parts are all interchangeable between the smaller and larger bottles, different volume nipples, etc. 7. The nipple is small and shaped in a way that you know it's full when it's in the baby's mouth - I.e. bottles where the nipple has a greater surface area it's harder to see if there is milk filling the spout, which risks air getting in and causing gas. But the shape still simulates a breast so should help with babies that are both breast- and bottle-fed. We had a bottle sampler with comotomo, nuk, Dr browns, and nanobebe and while each has its benefits the Avent ended up my favorites. I bought this for my 4week old who is only formula fed. I got this hoping the flow was slower than the bottles I originally had.. they were a little bit slower at first but after a few washes it seemed to be a little faster. It still works for him perfectly tho! The nipple it self is also so much softer than other nipples which is awesome! I've read other reviews saying it leaks.. it literally only leaks if you don't tighten it good enough. & I found a trick for the air vent.. if you line it up just past where it should be, (towards the right) when you tighten it it'll most likely be in the correct spot. Or if it's lined up just hold it in place when tightening to close. Not sure if it helps a lot with gas, seeing as my little one is still pretty gassy but it could also be the formula. Other than that we've been using them for 2 weeks and we love em. This bottle comes with size 1 nipple (0+months) But for newborns I would recommend ordering the premie nipples to use for at least the first month or so, just to be sure there’s no choking. ... show more

I had tried several brands of bottles and my baby had a hard time drinking from all of them. I finally bought this Avent bottle and it was the only one he could handle because of the shape of the nipple. The shape makes it easy to manage and I like how it has several different measurements on it. The width of the bottle makes it even easier to clean. The only thing I've noticed that I don't care for is that if the temperature of the bottle cools by being placed in refrigerator, the cap seems to loosen and needs to be tightened again. I'm happy with these bottles. I used them while I breastfed and bottle fed my baby girl. The nipple is very soft, it is the closest type of nipple to an actual mamas nipple in my opinion. I had bought tommee tippee bottles because I used those back in 2013 with my first baby, but these are definitely way better, so I didn't hesitate to toss those in the trash and switch over to these. I feel like my baby still has some gas when using these but, it's easy to get her to burp right after, so I haven't had any trouble with them and my baby's gas. The only bad thing I have noticed about them is the nipple does leak sometimes but I think it's my fault most of the time because I tighten the plastic ring that the nipple goes into, a bit too much, around the bottle. Overall I'm very happy with these they are great and since I have stopped breastfeeding now I still don't feel like my baby is getting a tough plastic nipple in her mouth, so I'm happy. We really do like these bottles. They're easier to clean than the bottles that came with our spectra pump, and we like their design. Our baby is able to latch on in a way that mimics breast feeding, again much better than with the spectra bottles. There's only two things we don't like. One, there's a small area along the nipple that, if facing down when the baby is drinking, seems to allow milk to leak through. Once we realized this, we just make sure it's always facing up and there are no issues. The second downside is the groove around the side of the bottle. It's very easy for milk to get trapped there while feeding and so we have to flip the bottle upside down and allow all the remaining milk that was trapped to collect at the tip of the nipple and then try to finish. However, once the bottle comes out, our baby usually falls asleep and so that milk is wasted. We're only talking about a few milliliters, but still. ... show more
