  • A Dual Monitor Dream
The PHILIPS 328E1CA 32” Curved Monitor is a game-changer for anyone involved in video editing, remote work, and even light gaming. Having purchased one and been so impressed, I didn’t hesitate to buy a second for a dual monitor setup. The standout feature for me is the 4K UHD resolution. It brings an incredible level of detail and clarity that is essential for my video editing tasks. The color accuracy, with 120% sRGB, is phenomenal, ensuring that what I see is what I get, which is crucial for professional editing. The curved design is a major plus. It offers an immersive experience that is particularly noticeable when gaming, and more importantly, it’s comfortable for those long hours of work. The curvature of the screen makes the extended use much easier on the eyes, which is a relief during those long editing sessions. Adaptive-Sync technology is another feature that has improved my experience. It ensures smooth visuals, eliminating the annoying screen tearing and stuttering, which is great both while editing and gaming. While the monitor comes with built-in speakers, I find them to be a convenient addition for everyday use, though I primarily rely on external speakers for professional editing. One aspect I don’t use is the VESA mount, as the stand provided suits my setup perfectly. However, it’s good to know that the option is there for those who might need it. The inclusion of a 4-year advance replacement warranty was the cherry on top, giving me peace of mind about the longevity and quality of the monitor. In summary, the PHILIPS 328E1CA is an excellent investment for professionals who need a high-quality display for editing, gaming, and remote work. Its performance and features have been so satisfying that adding a second one felt like a natural step. Highly recommended for its superior display quality and ergonomic design. ... show more

  • Nice monitor for the price
I paid about 300 for this in Dec 2024, monitor is big and curved so my eyes have no issues seeing things on it. It is 4K so I like that as well. I did have some issues with my DELL docking station but I figured out to use a different port on the docking station and that solved the issues. only 60 Hertz but it's 4K and 32" curved the stand does NOT go up and down would be my only complaint but You can mount it to an arm if you wanted to there are 4 screw holes in the back to mount it. ... show more

  • Long-Term: Very satisfied
I purchased this item new from Phillips directly (via their Amazon storefront) 3 years ago. 5-star product all the way. I was needing to retire my older iMacs that I was using for monitors and wanted a 32” curved unit to maximize my desk space. I am a full time graphic designer so it is not a component I wanted to have to think or worry about during my day. This monitor has delivered on that promise. I was impressed with Phillips warranty and I have not had to use it at all. Three years running and no dead pixels. No issues at all. Even the speakers are decent! I was so impressed upon receiving it that I soon purchased another to become dual monitor compatible. Attempting to save a few dollars, I purchased the 2k version thinking I could adjust the second monitor to color match but that was not to be, no matter how much adjusting I tried. I sold that one locally (even though Phillips was willing to accept it as a return) and purchased another matching 4k E-series and those two color matched precisely. Once this was dialed in, I have not had to think or worry about anything monitor related ever. They just work and work very well. Pros: Color range and quality is spot-on for a 4K monitor. Unit is sturdy and trouble-free and has been for the three years I’ve owned it. Cons: Set-up and options menu feels like it was coded in the 80’s but this is probably how most monitor UI is so I can’t blame the Phillips for that. Once set-up, it’s not something you need to trouble yourself with and fine tuning can be done via the computer settings. ... show more

  • Good for coding, with a caveat...
The media could not be loaded. I've been using this for a few weeks, comparing it to a Samsung 32inch flat monitor: The SAMSUNG 32-Inch ViewFinity S7 (S70D) Series 4K UHD High Resolution Monitor with HDR10 These are ~$300 3840x2160 monitors that I want to level up my coding experience. Just wasn't sure about flat vs curved. In terms of flat vs curved for coding, I think I've liked the curved. it's slightly easier to "consume" as you look left/right for various windows while coding. I don't need a perfectly straight horizontal line like designers or architects might. I don't expect much for this price. Just good, readable text and reasonable color, images, video playback etc. I'm using DP from my 2023 MacBook with a usb-c to DP wire. It runs fine at top resolution and 60hz. I don't need cameras, KVM, direct USB-C, gaming speed, audio, usb hub, powed ports etc. For those, I spend the savings on good separates that will live on after changing monitors. I have a high end audio setup, USB hub, camera etc. So both monitors do what I want. But I will say the Samsung feels cheaper compared to the Philips. One thing I really like about the Philips is the plugs in back go in straight/perpendicular instead of upward/underneath. This is actually a pleasure when setting up because it's always a pain in the ass to bend over, get on your knees etc when trying to fit a cable into a port you can't see. Here's the caveat I mentioned. Check the video. When scrolling around on the screen, if you get something "just right" in terms of windo position, color or whatever, the Philips will show a pattern of veritcal lines across it and sometime even flicker. It goes away if I keep scrolling a tiny bit whatever I'm looking at. And it happens rarely. But I'm on the fence about returning it. ... show more
