I purchased these so I wouldn't have to constantly search around for appropriately-sized boxes for Christmas gifts. I've survived on scavenging for years, but I figured just purchasing appropriately-sized boxes would be better. It definitely was; I was able to use these for more than half of all gifts given this year. Since they are all the same size, it has the additional benefit of making wrapping easy, since you use the same format for each gift. Multiple recipients decided to keep the boxes so they can re-use them for their own gifting purposes. Easy to fold, certainly sturdy enough for a gift box. The only things I don't like is [a] the seams are a bit thin at places - sufficient for a gift box but maybe not robust for other purposes, and [b] the way it folds, there are little cardboard tabs which protrude a bit from the edges of the box, so you cannot get perfectly smooth wrapped edges. If you use a heavier paper, this isn't really an issue, though. I would say these are large enough for at least three folded t-shirts, a scarf or two, or six pair of large socks. So would recommend for most one-time shipping/gifting purposes. ... show more

Part of me wishes the thickness was just a tad heavier but whatever. They're meant for small, solid packaging/shipping, and they function well for that. Pretty sturdy once they form the box. Be careful not to fold too quickly—that thinness I mentioned will cause them to bend in places you don't want… so if you want your box to stay "pretty", at least until it's out of your hands, bend gingerly at the folds, backwards, then forwards. Get yourself some double-sided tape to close the final lip of the box for a sleek look. They are not watertight, so think about protecting whatever is inside if it needs mailing. ... show more
