I wanted a good sturdy box to hold cookies and bars that I bake and gift to others. Unlike the cheaper, thinner boxes that need a piece of cardboard in the bottom to hold everything inside, these don't need that. They are sturdy enough and close well that you can actually mail things out with them. They close nicely, like something you would get in the mail. They are perfect for baked goods that need a shallow box instead of the deeper ones so you don't have to stack your soft bars on top of one another. OK, I am updating my review and raising from 1 star to 4. Here is why: When I got these they were soft and would not fold properly, they actually felt damp. Now they were delivered in good weather (no rain for a month prior) and they were wrapped in plastic shrink wrap so I just assumed it was garbage cardboard. Well I kept using them and over a few weeks later they all of a sudden worked perfectly because they were actually damp when I got them and they dried out, once they dried out they worked perfectly. Now I have no idea where or how they got damp but since they were wrapped in plastic I will assume it must have been damp from the factory. Below I will leave my original 1 star review. I am raising the review to 4 stars and not 5 because they should not have been damp when I got them. ORIGINAL REVIEW Been using this size box for a few years. Bought these because of the price and while all my others were white I didn't really care about that. Well, the cardboard used in these is like soft, almost feels like when you get a box wet. This means they really don't fold well, not crips if you know what I mean and while I normally only tape the flaps closed on this size, I am having to put multiple pieces of tapes on the sides as well or it feels like they will fall open as the cardboard does not hold it's shape. Well, lesson learned, when I run out of these I will NOT be buying the same ones again ... show more
