If you're chasing that instant, "photo-finish" result for fine lines, this product is a game-changer. I have been using the Peter Thomas Roth Instant FIRMx Eye Tightener for a while now, and I have very specific thoughts on how to make it work (or not work). The Pros: It Really Does Work Wonders. The effectiveness is undeniable. When applied correctly, this product visibly reduces my "11s" and dramatically smooths out my crow's feet within minutes. The temporary tightening effect is impressive—it genuinely makes you look refreshed and years younger for several hours. For a special event or a big meeting, this stuff is pure magic. It delivers on its core promise of instant results. The Cons: The glowing results come with a few notable trade-offs that prevent it from being a daily "holy grail" for me: Drying Sensation: My biggest issue is that it dries out the skin around my eyes. The instructions emphasize applying it to clean, dry skin before other products, which means you're putting this tightener directly onto bare skin without a buffer of moisturizer. This contributes significantly to the feeling of dryness. Residue Issues: If you use slightly too much, or don't blend perfectly, it can leave a white, flaky residue that looks like dry skin or dandruff. You have to use a very thin layer and sometimes dab away excess with a damp Q-tip once dry. Layering Limitations: The tightener works by forming a film. The problem is that it is not as effective if you apply anything (moisturizer, makeup, sunscreen) over it after it has dried. I’ve tried quite a few under-eye products, and the Peter Thomas Roth Instant FIRMx Eye Temporary Eye Tightener definitely stands out for how quickly it works. The first time I used it, I noticed a visible tightening effect within a few minutes, especially under my eyes where I tend to get puffiness. A little goes a long way, and I found that applying a very thin layer gives the best results. When I used too much, it left a bit of a white residue, so there’s definitely a learning curve with application. Once I figured that out, though, it looked much smoother and more natural. It’s not a permanent fix, but for short-term use like getting ready for an event or just wanting to look more refreshed it does exactly what it claims. The tightening feeling can be slightly noticeable at first, but it’s not uncomfortable. I am not one to usually leave reviews but I had to share these results for those who are skeptical. If I could give this 10 stars I would. I was very skeptical to try this Peter Thomas Roth product due to some pretty bad reviews but I'm so glad I did. I've been looking for something to use for my daughter's up coming wedding and I have definitely found it. You can literally feel your skin tightening. There is no redness or burning. There are a few little white specks that show up from time to time when applying but very easy to just gently get off with ease. It dries super fast and stays all day until you wash it off bc it does not absorb into your skin like lotion. You can gently put your makeup on over it like normal bc it is tinted and blends with ease. One thing I have noticed is once it dries, do not mess with or pull the skin in those areas or you will have to rinse it off and reapply because it will show wrinkled areas where the cream has been pulled. Also it seems the longer it's on the more annoying it feels but if you can get past that you're golden. It will stay on as long as you want it to but once you wash it off, your bags will reappear instantly. These are things I've noticed myself but tinker with it a few times to see what works best for you. It is very expensive, so I only use it on special occasions and a little goes a long way. And the brush is very helpful. I hope my review helps those who are also skeptical bc of the bad reviews. Give it a try... it's worth it.

Ok tried several products, and this has by far been the best. But it’s a very tricky product. I’ve learned you have to be very careful. 1st, do your eye cream routine. Let this thoroughly soak in and dry. Apply a thin layer of the product and slightly blend in on edges where product ends, before It dries. Now big rule, DO NOT touch the area with the product at all. Do not pull the area of skin when applying foundation in other areas of your face. And do not apply anything on top of It . If you follow these rules, It will Work amazing! If you slightly break the barrier that was built, It all goes to hell. And don’t try two layers. Gets white residue if you do.

The original eye treatment was very firming and dried quickly. As we all know, though, you had to have just the right amount, no moisture, no creams under, no makeup over -- or you'd have embarrassing raccoon eyes to varying degrees of embarrassment. Plus, it was a bit irritating, especially removing. All this is to say, I REALLY wanted to try this new formula. It's easy to use, you can put SOME makeup over it and you're not risking a white ring under your eye. BUT you cannot put full makeup or full concealer regime or it too turns white (less white) and it does not have the power of the original. It just does not conceal the bags the way it should, especially for that price. I hope PTR keeps working on this and issues a next gen 2.0 very shortly (and takes trade ins on this version or it's a waste of money).

I notice a slight difference after 5 minutes. It leaves a white ish residue. And if you wash it off... the effect of it comes off too. It's a super tiny bottle and really expensive. It doesn't blend well with make up and feels a little irritating. I've used this a few times to play with it. Hoped there was some way to hide or rid of the residue but it doesn't seem to be so. Do not waste your time or money on this product. Plus it has a strong odor to it as well. Only gave it 2 stars because it does tighten up the skin... Just a little..

I love the product and used it on other parts of my face in addition to my under eyes and it works great on wrinkles. However, I also love foundation, blush, etc. and I cannot make it work with these products. I've watched videos and gone by all the "rules," have chatted with Peter Thomas Roth associates, everything I can think of. I am using the correct products over the eye firmx but still not working. Very sad about this as it is a great product ... IF you don't wear makeup. I really don't want to discourage anyone because it may work for you, however, for me it was a waste of money. If you're having issues with it, contact Peter Thomas Roth as the staff are super customer friendly and helpful.
