I've been using these repelling pouches in my garage and attic, and I'm happy with the results. They are easy to use, I have bought some sprays, but I do not use them at all, and some spray bottles even leak liquid. These pouches don't give me these annoyances, I can simply hang them or put them in places where the rat problem is severe. The scent of peppermint oil is subtle and doesn't interfere with anything. They do help keep the rats away and I haven't dealt with any rats in those areas since I started using them. Will definitely buy again!

I only gave this product a "1" because I had to. If I could, I would have given it a "-5", since instead of repelling mice the product was great for attracting them, actually drawing more into my space than I had previously observed! I watched several of them actually sniff it before proceeding on their way. For reference, I used the product in a small room, approximately 8' x10', well within the product's usage range. The odor from the package was strong enough to permeate the entire room, so I'm sure the mice must have smelled it as well. I mention similar products in the title because there are several others that function on the premise that mice don't like peppermint and other aromatic scents and are repelled by them, but based on how this one performed, it's hard to believe any actually could work. On the flip, traps are much cheaper, 100 % effective, are reusable (these pouches only last about 4 weeks then must be replaced; they are not reusable), and there's no worry about a dead mouse dying in some unreachable area and stinking up your house that can occur when using poison!

I've noticed a huge change in mouse activity since using them. They are safe, non-toxic and last for several weeks. For the price, it's an excellent solution for a small space.
