I recommend it to housewives who shop at bath and body works and want a little exfoliatation.... just try this next time first. It's better. I promise! Some nights when he comes home I can smell the onions and sage and whatever else he has been elbow deep in for the last 12 Hours all though the house... I began sleeping In Another room it was so bad .. lemon doesn’t cut it... nothing kills that smell...and although grateful for employment.. sometimes it’s nauseating... so... I have yet to find a hand cleaner that will magically, instantaneously remove all traces of grease and dirt from my hands. And this stuff won't do that. But it will get my hands clean enough that I can come inside and use the bathroom sink without causing any outcry from The Management (AKA my wife). And that's a clear win in my book. Also, these pump-top jugs are pretty reasonably priced, I think, and easy to use. I put one in the garage and one in my basement workshop, and there's no rocket science involved in their use -- grab a big piece of paper towel, cover your hands liberally with this goop, rub your hands around until the goop is black, wipe it off, and repeat as needed. You'll probably still have to wash your hands afterward, but you won't make a mess in the bathroom. If you're not married, disregard the above and do whatever you want. ... show more

    • GREAT Stuff For Oil Painters; but Rinsing Recommended!
So I'm an artist who works mostly in oils. I get INTO it when I'm painting- to the point where sometimes I just end up finger painting on the canvas. Sometimes I think I come away with more paint on me than on the canvas itself. I just discovered this stuff while looking to replace the volcanic pumice I used to get because I can't find it in art stores anymore. My god, where has this stuff been all my life?! I scrub for a second with a tiny bit of this stuff and suddenly I can see my skin again! It's easy enough to wipe it all away on a rag and use it to clean my palette knives between colors without needing the sink. The scent is super light. I'm not a fan, but that's probably just me, and it's not bad enough to give me any hesitation. As with anything that uses pumice, it leaves hands SUPER soft and smooth after a single time using it. And the huge jug you get for just $6.50? You can't get better than this. I use as much as I want without worrying about it. The only bit of advice I want to add though is, I know they say water isn't necessary and you can just use a rag; that's true-ish, it does disperse the greasy stuff and some comes off. But LISTEN: when I finally go and rinse off in the sink, the amount of color that washes away is CRAZY. So word to the wise, if you're the type to touch your mouth or rub your eyes without thinking if your hands feel clean- use water! Otherwise, the stuff's still there, whether you see/feel it or not. ... show more

    • It's magic. Removes grime and grease with ease
I keep this next to the utility sink in my shed. It just takes an acorn sized glob to remove whatever grease or motor oil or paint or whatever I've managed to get on my hands from working in the shop. You don't even need water, can simply wipe off with a rag or towel, although I feel it does a much better job when you rinse with water. I'm always amazed at how well this works. Much better than other soaps designed to remove dirt and grease. And really nice for keeping a little bit in your car or travel toolbag so you can clean your hands when there's no water. I simply put some in one of those small travel shampoo containers and works great when you need to clean your hands. Worked especially well when I had to do an emergency tire change on the side of the road after a recent flat. The smell is pleasant and not too overpowering. The stuff also lasts years in all kinds of temperatures. My shed isn't heated or cooled and despite being out there for years, the cleaner doesn't degrade or separate.     • Not just for mechanics...
I do a lot of home repairs and wanted a replacement for my unsightly pumice bar soap. Fast Orange delivered with a pleasant citrus scent and great handle design for portability. Perhaps I was expecting too much but it did an OK but not perfect job of removing oil based paint from my hands. I have used Fast Orange hand cleaner for decades now going back to my days as an auto mechanic to now keeping myself busy tinkering around the home with many DIY projects. Back then I used hand cleaners with solvents to cut grease. But the solvents tended to dry out my hands. Fast Orange is a more natural product containing citrus products to help cut grease and pumice to help remove grunge. It smells better and feels better without removing the natural oils in your skin reducing the chance of dry cracked hands. it is an abrasive soap, so it acts like a mild sandpaper when cleaning. I.E. when scrubbing, it literally scrubs the skin. I've noticed that for us guys with callus on our hands, using this over time will soften them, making hands less rough. This formulation seems to work better than older ones. The texture is less slick and it clings better in warmer conditions. All in all, this is one of my favorite products that is just not for mechanics but all working hands. ... show more

    • Thank God for this: clean greasy hands in seconds. Easy on skin. But do not really want the pumice.
Fixing bicycles daily in the summer means having greasy hands, ,and I have found that Permatex 25217 Fast Orange quickly liquefies (emulsifies) the grease without using water, then rinse off which hot water. It is good for pretreating spots on clothes also., Pump works well though, and I usually mix some Dawn dish detergent and some hand cream in with it I do not really want or need the pumice though, but I found that that the .Permatex Blue Lapel does not work as well. ... show more
