Bought this because it was super cheap/on sale and it seemed greatly loved. I don't know much about the lipstick/stain world, and my only point of comparison is a NYX lipgloss that irritated my very sensitive lips. Very happy to report that's not the case with the Peripera lip stain!!! I don't know if I would call it moisturizing per se but it goes on smoothly on the lips, just lightly tacky. It feels like a thin lipgloss and it has a fuzzy tip applicator which makes precise application a breeze for those of us not blessed with the steady hands of a beauty guru. Love Sniper Red looks a bit warmer in the bottle but on the lip wears to a slightly pinker/cooler shade. It will smudge a bit at the beginning, especially if wet (highly recommend blotting once or twice on some tissue before heading out) It DOES transfer, however, the pigment load is so rich, that your lips will stay unmistakably and beautifully tinted for hours! I managed to make it through an entire very food-centric event with many food textures and still got compliments on my color! One drawback perhaps is that removal can be a pain without makeup remover. Consider yourself warned! For the price, you can't beat its simplicity and reliability. There may or may not be better formulas out there, but for a beauty noob like me, this was a fantastic purchase - I will definitely be back to buy more shades! ... show more

I saw this on sale for $5 on Black Friday so I gave it a shot and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought that it would be another bad purchase that ended up in my make up bag. I was wrong! I got the Rosy Nude shade. I like the applicator, the product goes on smoothly and is moisturizing. I usually use a lip liner to outline my lips and didn’t need one because the applicator did a pretty good job alone. After it dries, the color is matte. I wore it to a holiday party and was drinking & eating and it lasted quite a few hours. I had to remove it with a makeup removing wipe and there was still a tint left (after all, it’s a lip stain). On the contrary, I had to put some chapstick on because it was a little too dry after a while. Not a big deal and it wouldn’t prevent me from buying another shade. Review 1: This formula feels great on my lips and the color packs a huge punch. The image is freshly applied, but it looks incredibly natural once it begins to fade. I like to line it with a brown pencil so it doesn't feel as bright (not shown). I plan to buy more colors for fall/winter since 26 is perfect for warmer weather months. Review 2: I purchased a trio pack in hopes of finding some fall/winter friendly lip shades. I did a quick swatch if watch on my hand. 17 is definitely a bit more mauve than I hoped, but it dried pink-ish. I am ecstatic for 23 because it is almost identical to my natural lip color...but better! 29 was horrible and pulled grey. I'm not sure what use I'll get it is it because it is not the rich better that I hoped for on my skin. I hope this helps! ... show more

it was a bit difficult to find the right color for me but they’re surprisingly nice — they yield a beautiful not too matte texture, they go on very smoothly and they seem to wear well too. Often lip sticks and glosses feel too heavy and stick on my lips. This one I don’t notice at all. Looks super natural. I have one other in a different color and I may go for a third. I also swipe a bit on my cheekbones and blend in, instead of hassling with blush. Totally works ... show more

I love the color and the smell it good too. I like that smudged velvet look it gives you and the only reason I'm giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is because the stain doesn't last as long as other lip stains I have baught before. I am always on the lookout for a good long-wearing lip color. This does seem to wear well and applies easily and smoothly. However, the color is quite a bit darker than it looks on Amazon. I am busy. I don't have time to be reapplying my lipstick so I want something I can put on in the morning and go and not think about it. But most of the time long-lasting lip products feel weird on your lips or they start to flake off and look bad. NONE of that with this magical stuff! You literally feel like there is nothing on your lips. Seriously. Its not moisturizing but it is not drying either. It's. just. there. Looking good and staying put even with eating and drinking. I put it on getting ready to go out for the night, ate, drank, went to bed and the next morning it was still there and looked great. It kind of faded but it was all over so it just looked like a slightly lighter shade. I am in LOVE. I immediately came back to get a ton more shades because this is a must have. I bought 2 and prefer 25 over 24. 24 is basically my natural lip color so nothing changed, so I recommend going bold. These are more matte and even when I wiped it made a nice lip stain. I recommend for a subtle/natural look.
